"No you're fine, after you." Cassia motioned, taking a step back so Renae could enter the room first. She gave her a small smile and head nod to send her thanks before stepping in, Cassia not too far behind her.

"Babe, I didn't see any of the stuff you asked for down there. But I can go to the little grocery store across from here or something." Renae mumbled the last part while sitting down, her arms extending towards Crystal to grab her, but her focus wasn't on her mother right now. Except she stared up at the foreign person in the room with her big brown eyes, two fingers popped in her mouth as she said nothing. "Don't stare mamas, that's rude" Renae chastised while tapping Crystal's arm.

"Please, she's fine. Hi beautiful." Cassia smiled as she walked to the side of Cepheus' bed. Crystal immediately pulled her fingers from her mouth and gave her a wide smile, her right hand giving a small wave to Cassia.

"She acting shy and shit now, but believe she gon be talking your head off the more you start to see her. Crystal say 'Hi Ms. Cassia'" Cepheus spoke now, his large arms wrapping around Crystal to pull her in closer to him while placing a small kiss on her forehead.

Sitting in the waiting room chair, Cassia couldn't control her sobs even if she tried. She was in hysterics, being held close by Jamila who was attempting to get her to calm down, but it was no use. She felt sick, beyond sick from the lack of information they still had on Crystal's condition. Jamila tried her best to stabilize her before the ambulance came, but she was still unconscious without a pulse.

"Cassia, you have to breathe mama." Jamila spoke into her ear softly, her hand rubbing at her back gently. It was only them 2 in the waiting room, Cassia having everybody else stay home with the kids, while Cepheus fled the scene. She had no clue where he was, but according to Anthony, he said he needed a second to himself so that he didn't get around Cassia and make things worse.

"S- she's only t- ten Jamila." Cassia struggled to speak, her hand gripping at her tissue that was soaked with her tears.

Her mind was completely blank of all thoughts except for the state Crystal was in. Never had she experienced heartache like what she was feeling in that moment, the possible loss of her daughter hitting her a lot harder than that of her parents.

With Crystal, she loved her beyond words. Meeting her for the first time in the hospital that day, she would have never guessed the role she would one day play in her life. It was never easy to meet a child 5 years into their life, and suddenly become a mother to them because their own wouldn't. But choosing to go through with it, even with all her fears and doubts, was a decision that Cassia made out of pure love and care for the little girl. She didn't care who entered and exited their lives, how many other children she had, Crystal would always be her child no matter what. And the thought of her possibly being gone had her in hysterics, tear after tear with no sign of stopping.
