Christian Zephyr Emerson, 4lbs 8 oz, 16 inches
Date of Birth: September 15th, 6:46 amLater that day...
"He's tiny, but he's completely healthy. Each test was passed, all that needs to be done is the signed birth certificate. Cassia and the baby will have to stay here for 24-48 hours just to make sure everything is good before they can go home. You all can stay as long as you please, and once Cassia wakes up y'all can- oop, never mind she's up." Turning to look in the direction Jamila was looking, Cepheus watched as Cassia slowly sat up after her eyes fluttered open.
"Is he okay?" She asked, her voice coming out groggy and tired. She had been sleep for about 5 hours, but she still felt tired and drained from the process of labor.
Locking eyes with her, Cepheus gave her a small smile that she mirrored, just as Jamila picked a wide awake Christian up from out of his little bassinet. On Cepheus' lap laid a sleeping Crystal while Zahir's head laid on his chest, Cepheus' arm wrapped around him comfortably.
"He's perfectly fine, just real small but he's healthy. By the way, he does this thing when he's sleeping where he has his mouth in a certain type of way that shows his dimples, it's so cute. They're deep too, any little face he makes and you see them. I don't have to go over the basics because, Dr. Taylor, you know all this. Um, for Chyus and Crystal, make sure their hands are washed good and throughly if they're going to hold him, you too Cepheus. Other than that, I'll leave the 5 of you in here. Cassia, should I cut off visitors?"
Holding her arms out to grab Christian, Cassia nodded her head while pulling his body close towards her. Looking down into his bright open eyes, she smiled at the sight of her son. Calling him Cepheus' twin being an understatement for how much he looked like his father already. "Yes, and make sure the visitors list is only Cepheus, Rashad, Anthony, and Mariah with the kids."
"No Eric?" Shaking her head, Cassia didn't even want to hear his name right now.
"Nope" She popped the P, causing a smirk to spread across Cepheus' face as he sat up in his seat.
"Well shit, I mean say less. I'll see y'all later or tomorrow, you want a bed Cepheus cause I can bring one." Looking up towards Cassia, he nudged his head a little bit to let her know that it was up to her if she wanted him there or not.
"Um yeah, but not until later. Also call Anthony for me so he can get Chyus and Crystal later, because I don't want to them staying here since they have school tomorrow." Nodding her head, Jamila noted down everything on a sticky note before folding it and placing it in her pocket.
"Alright, I'll be back a couple times to make sure everything's good, and although I doubt it's needed...a bitch still got to get paid. So bye." Jamila waved her fingers before shuffling out of the room, leaving Cepheus, Cassia, and the kids alone.
"Wassup, how you feeling?" Cepheus spoke up after s minute of silence, immediately gaining Cassia's attention. Giving him a small smile, she rubbed at the baby's hair gently, his size fascinating her.
"I'm feeling fine, I'm a little tired, in a little pain, but I'm good...um, thank you for being here." She spoke nervously, before quickly putting her focus and attention back down on the baby.
Taking his left arm from around Zahir, Cepheus placed it on Crystal'a back while his right arm rested on the backs of her knees. Standing to his feet carefully, he watched as Zahir's body slouched sideways, thankful he didn't wake up before placing Crystal down in the seat he was just sitting in. Both of them remaining fast asleep.
"You don't have to thank me for being here, it's the least I could do after going ghost for 5 years." He chuckled as he went to the sink to wash his hands. Smiling weakly, Cassia cradled her son in her arms, just admiring what her and Cepheus had created again.
