"Stay with your significant other, slash everybody keep an eye on Cassia too-."
"You say that like I'm the child of this group or something..." She frowned, looking up at Cepheus who was already looking down at her.
"No, but you the size of a child so-."
"Wedding is called off. I'm leaving." She rolled her eyes at him laughing at her, turning around only for her hand to be grasped into his again. Pulling her into him, he wrapped his arm around her, ignoring her attempts to get out of his hold.
"But nah forreal, keep an eye on everybody and Cassia. Y'all all gon be together, but there's gon be certain times where imma have to get up and go. Obviously niggas can't do much in a gala, but motherfuckers be acting foolish sometimes so just make sure she straight for me. And no, I won't be too far, but I don't need niggas getting the chance." Cepheus spoke sternly, glancing around at everyone else who only nodded. Nodding his head after them, he unwrapped his arm from around Cassia's shoulder to push her in front of him gently.
"Ian said everything's good, he already started the transfer. But this shit hella risky my nigga, you get caught and you done." Anthony spoke quietly, him and Cepheus walking behind the girls who engaged in their own conversation.
Glancing over at his friend, Cepheus patted himself down to double check that he was strapped just in case. He highly doubted it would even come to that point, but there was never any telling when it came to these types of things.
"Listen, I been planning this shit for damn near 6 years, ain't no turning back now even if I tried. Everything I do is 50/50 anyways, this ain't no different than anything else. You know what it would mean if this go through?!" He widened his eyes to show his excitement. Shaking his head, Anthony placed his hand on the door that was being held out to both him and Cepheus by Giselle.
"And if it don't go through, this gon be your last night walking this Earth." Running his tongue over his lips, Cepheus eyed Cassia who remained walking in front of him, her back turned in their direction and he knew she wasn't listening to their conversation. Not like she would be able to hear anyways, considering him and Anthony were speaking in a volume that was only audible to each other.
"Well we better just hope it go through, right?" Cepheus smiled, not allowing Anthony a chance to respond once he grabbed onto Cassia's hand again from behind. Turning her head, she looked up at him with a bright smile on her face. Her left hand holding her clutch while her right hand intertwined with Cepheus'.
"It's so pretty in here." She mumbled, her eyes glancing around the entire room of the large gala. It looked rich, and full of wealth, a room undeniably full of millionaires all around. Most of them were white, like Cepheus warned her about, but the rest of them varied in race. She couldn't lie and say she didn't feel out of place because she did, this whole thing being far from her norm since the event seemed very prestige.
