"what could it mean?" carl asked as he read the red writing over and over again
"how the fuck am i suppose to know?" i grumble "i just want them caught and her to be safe" i told him
he smirked "why? she is just another innocent one caught in our world" i glare at him- he's using my words on myself
"Because it's my fault she's in this mess you idiot"
Deep down a part of me knew that wasn't the only reason
carl nodded "i see we're still in denial but take my advice- make sure you use that anger to protect her and not let it on her. i did that and you know what happened" he sighed. i nodded
"well i want all the information on this guy who cornered her in the alley" carl nodded and left immediately.
soon there was a knock and i didn't expect lily to walk into my office. her belly was huge at this point, she was due soon. i gave her a nod and stood up to help her into a chair. she laughed
"if you behave like this- i wouldn't mind being pregnant for the rest of my life" i roll my eyes
"i couldn't care less about you- i care about my godson" i teell her sternly to she mocked me by blabbing at me
"do you ever shut up?"she snapped. i raised and eyebrow at her in amusement
"sorry, mood swings" she informed me. i shook my head "don't apologize its fine"
i pull a chair so she can put her feet up "so what are you doing here?" i ask
she then seem to remember something "i came over to take carl away but he told me fayre received some threats?" she asked me. i nodded
"oh poor thing- i can't imagine what she must feel- i bet she is scared shitless" that doesn't help me feel any better
"well did you come here for that?" i ask
she smiled at me "no, i just wanted to give you some company- you know you are just so fun to be with!" She retorts sarcastically
i roll my eyes again "you shouldn't get involve in this things- it can effect the child" i tell her
she rolled her eyes "I'll be fine so now just let me take a nap here. don't wake me up or i might do more then snap at you" she tells me and i shake my head at her as she closed her eyes
an hour or so later carl walked in. he smiled when he saw lily, i motioned him to not make a sound. he nodded and gestured for me to talk to him outside
"so?" i asked. carl gave me a file and i looked into it

I fast through the 10 pages
i look up at carl "that's it?"
"yeah that's all we could get" he shrugged. i was getting exhausted now, all night but i still had nothing
"i am going to have a talk with the guys we have in captive" i seethed and made my way to the dungeon
i walk in and see the guy sitting in a chair with his head down. he looked up when i walked in and i saw his whole face had bruises and cuts.
served him right
"oh look who made time for me- i really am luck" he tried to smirk but winced because of his bruised face
i don't reply to him, i just punch him in the face. he grunts and i see blood come out of his mouth.
he looked back at me with a lazy grin "is that all you can do?" he chuckled
it was my turn to smirk which immediately made his drop "don't worry, you are not gonna live to see tonight's moon"
~1 hour later~
i dig the knife deeper into his hand. he yelped in pain
"does that make you wanna answer the question?" i sneered. he still didn't speak up
"you know i will enjoy this- killing you slowly and watch as you bled out" i moved to stand up from my chair but before i could do anything there was a knock
carl walked in "someone is calling you" he told me. i refrained from hitting him
"just put the phone on silent, I'm a little busy here" i snarled at him
he gave me a pointed look "it's fayre"
that immediately made me snatch the phone from him, i called her back
"hello?" i ask as she picks up
"al- aldri-in?" she sounded so scared and it made my blood boil
"I'll be there" i hung up and looked at the guy who was laughing though it was not too loud because I'm sure he couldn't open his mouth that much
"that's what you all get for messing with us." he looked straight into my eyes "she is gonna end up like her- she will be dead just for knowing you, same as-"
he didn't get to finish the sentence, i shot him 4 times in the chest and once in the forehead
i pick up my jacket and run into my car

i look around the house in search for her, everything was the same as last night- no sign of struggle
i walk into the kitchen to see fayre's figure on the floor as she cried into her knees
"Fayre?" i made my way to her but she doesn't look up. i hug her, trying to make her feel better.
she then wrapped her arms around me and buried her face into my chest "they will get me Al" she told me
i tighneded my hold on her "no they wont, no one will do anything to you. now i want you to tell me what happened" i asked her
she sniffled "i was getting food for myself and, when i walked out of the pantry someone pushed me into the wall from behind" she stuttered
"did he try anything?" i ask. she shook her head
"what did he say?" i ask
"they threatened me and told me i shouldn't have told you" she sobbed more
i hug her tighter "don't worry. i won't let them hurt you" i assured her
soon she fell asleep into my arms and i picked her up to put her to bed. i didn't wanna leave her alone so i laid down with her and she hugged me back
i called carl "they came to threaten her, i want to know what those excuse of guards were doing while they were breaking into her house" i ordered. he hung up with an 'okay sir'
Fayre hides her face into my side and snuggles closer. i kiss her forehead "nothing bad will happen to you" she smiled in her sleep
