Chapter 10!

Lily's POV

As she walked out I couldn't believe what had happened. All I wanted to do was fix my sock, which was falling to my toes in my shoe, and she followed me in here. What she said rang back and forth in my skull. 'You hurt Jake bad you bitch'. And boom. All I felt was fist to skull. When I looked in the mirror I saw my nose was bleeding. Oh my God. With a shaking hand I reached for the paper towel and then put it to my nose. I can't believe this. I can't believe she just hit me. And I let her walk out. The bell rang, echoing through the bathroom. I can't go to my next class, which was science. The last class. I wish I could've made it through the day. But I have to go home.

I couldn't just walk out. Since the halls are empty and it's not a lunch period I'll get caught, so I did the next best thing. I walked across half the school to the nurse's office. I haven't been here yet, but I pass it every day to get to music class. Before I walked through the open door I tried to show more of the blood on the tissue and tilted my head back a little bit. If I make it look worse they'll let me go home. When I walked in the nurse at the front desk looked up and automatically got up, coming towards me.

"Honey what happened?" she said, inspecting my face.

"Someone opened the door to the bathroom as I walked in and I got hit in the face." I said. I've used this excuse before and it works like a charm.

"Do you know who?" she asked. Same excuse.

"No, they walked away before I could see them." I said. She sighed.

"Kids these days." She muttered and brought me over to a chair to sit in. Now for the reason I'm actually here.

"My head hurts really bad, I was wondering if you could call my mom and let me go home?" I asked.

"Name?" she asked. I gave her my name as she scrolled through the computer and picked up the phone. I really wanted to cry. Not only because of the throbbing spreading throughout my entire face, but also because of the fact of how the throbbing got there in the first place. I shouldn't have let this happened. I promised myself. Tony's words rang throughout my head. Look at us, better than ever. I'm not better than ever. I'm in the same place I was last year. The nurse's voice broke my thoughts.

"You're mom gave you the okay to go home. I just need to do the protocol before you go." She said. I agreed and let her pick at my face for at least five minutes before she put a bandage on my face and let me go. I felt like my entire body was going to turn to liquid. In a way, I feel like I've failed. Mark the day, because from now on it's going to be hell. Physical abuse is always the first sign. As I walked to my locker to get my books I saw that Jaime had texted me about ten minutes ago.

You were just in gym and now you're not in science???

I messaged him saying I felt sick and I was going home. Wasn't a lie, yet it wasn't the truth. I got my books and I felt the entire feeling of sadness fall upon me. But I was angry. A very weird feeling. Wanting to collapse yet wanting to start a revolution. I went outside and it was such a beautiful day. It was definitely too nice outside for me. I would want it to be overcast and breezy. Not sunny. The walk home went by weirdly quick, as I didn't focus on anything but leaving and wanting to run. What if I did just run? Just packed a bag and left everything. My dad probably wouldn't even notice. I know my mom and friends would be sad. But six people? Should I really stay for just six people?

I walked into my house and walked upstairs, into my room. The bed looked so inviting, so I walked over and collapsed into it and let out all the tears I've been holding in.
