Chapter 18

Hey guys! Late update, but writing has been slow lately and I'm getting distracted by school. Usually it's the other way around.. but anyway I hope you guys all like this chapter. Just a pointer, I kind of picture Daniel as Kyle David Hall even though using celebrities/famous people for original characters is pretty much against my thoughts. But its pretty much what I picture, and Kyle is absolutely amazing. Enjoy!!

Lily's POV

Friday. The word felt like a breath of fresh air. Opening my locker I don't know what I felt. It's the same as before. Happy, yet completely empty. Hollow. Happy and hollow. That's it.

Skylar wasn't here yet which means she most likely won't be here, leaving me alone in most classes. I had grabbed my books and closed my locker when I felt someone tap me on the shoulder. I turned around hoping that I would see Skylar or maybe Tony. But no, it was the boy from the park. Daniel.

"Hi Daniel." I said and smiled. Wow. Wow. I didn't think I would see this boy again after that day at the park. I could've sworn the entire thing was a prank. He smiled.

"Hey Lily. What's up?" he asked. I leaned against my locker and held my books to my chest.

"Nothing really, completely not wanting to be here. What about you?" I asked as my heart raced. When he said he would see me in school I didn't think he was serious.

"Also not wanting to be here, but since my mother would kill me if I skipped, what's your homeroom?" he asked with a light laugh. He was appealing, but I don't think I could look at him in a romantic way. I don't think I can look at anything in a romantic way for a long time. It's weird how that's the first thing I think of when dealing with a new guy. Human instinct, am I right?

"Room 308." I said as the bell rang. We both had two minutes to get to homeroom.

"Walk with me?" he asked. I nodded with a smile and we both began to walk. "I was wondering if you wanted to get a coffee or something after school today if you're free." He said. I smiled to myself as I felt the happiness flow through my entire body.

"Yea actually. I'd love to." I said as we got to my homeroom. He smiled and handed me a piece of paper. I love having friends, and it makes me so happy. I need something to distract me from that aching empty feeling, and this just might be exactly what I need. Something good to think about.

"Here's my number, I'll meet you at your locker after school." He said and I nodded. With my face plastered with a smile, we both said our goodbyes and I walked into my homeroom. It was a little thing, but it's the little things that make life worth living.

At lunch, I was the first to the table so I sat down texting both Skylar, who had a cold and couldn't come to school, and Daniel, who was in gym. We didn't have any classes together, but we had a lot in common and I was excited to go to coffee with him later.

"Lil-ayy! Wassup chica?" Jaime said sitting next to me. Eventually, all four guys sat around the table. It was weird being the only girl at the table, no one wants to be the girl that only hangs with guys.

"Nothing really Jaime." I said putting my phone down on the table. Tony sat on my other side and Vic and Mike sat on the other side of the rectangular table.  Jaime, Vic, and Mike went on talking about some History assignment they all had. Tony and I have different teachers then them, so I had no idea what they had to do.

"We're gonna go out after school today to the music store. You can come if you want, but if you're not up to it its okay." He said as we both ate our food.
