Muffled bird chirping was heard outside, signifying to Logan that it was morning and he got up quickly, staring at the cellar doors.
He waited and waited for some one to come, he was on the edge of his seat and the tension of it all almost killed him.
At this point Logan just wanted to get his punishment over and move on, the longer he waited the more anxious he became and he wondered if Roman intentionally did this knowing how much it would hurt him.
When the doors finally swung opened Logan covered his eyes, almost being blinded by the sunlight, he felt like a vampire from being locked in the dark for so long.
Roman was pissed, and if the large scowl in his face wasn't enough to prove it the smack to the face Logan got sure as hell confirmed it.

He picked him up by his collar which was easy to do, even though Logan was much taller than his step dad Logan was still fairly under weight from little food and it made him much lighter to pick up.
He slammed Logan against the wall, hurting his back "How could you do this to us?!" Roman angrily yelled, repeatedly thrashing Logan against the hard stone.
He clutched his throat and squeezed it tightly, as if Logan's voice wasn't already horse enough, now he could barely breath.
"We've let you eat our food and live under our roof and this is how you repay us?! By lying and screwing up our future!" "I don't know what you're talking about!" Logan mumbled through choked gasps.
"You're lying! All you do is lie! You've lied to us our whole lives! I knew you were an ungrateful brat the first time we met! Your dad let you do everything you wanted and now you have to sabotage Patton's future!".

Logan was tearing up from the pain "I-I- don't understand-" "Remus!".
Logan's eyes grew wide in sheer horror, much like Patton's the day before.
He squirmed enough Roman decided to let him go, gasping and coughing for air he feverishly asked "How do you know about Remus?!" "I'm not an idiot Logan! I know you've been running around with him! This whole thing is pathetic, why would some one who lives in a palace ever go for some one like you?!" Logan was still confused, why was Roman so upset over him falling in love with a castle servant.
Yes, they were held in more of a high regard than any old peasant maid but they were still just working class people.
Patton ran in, frantically pointing at Logan "He stole it!" "What?" "The clothes! He stole it! They were in my closet and he took them!".

Roman grabbed Logan's arm and yanked him up to his feet, pushing him back against the wall, hurting his back even more.
"Where is it?" Roman asked, well it was less asking and more demanding.
Logan was silent, he merely stared in Roman's face which just caused more anger.
"Fucking speak!" Logan just looked Roman dead in the eyes, giving off a raw and somewhat terrifying aura that caught Roman by surprise.
"I don't know, maybe with all the other stuff my dad owned, in some merchants caravan cause you sold it.".
"You litt- tell me where it is!" "No, I'd rather die than let my dad's clothes be worn by that spoiled, selfish, narcissist you call a son." Logan proudly said, he wasn't lying, Logan would crawl over burning hot rocks and stab him self before he ever even let Patton see his dad's suit again.

Roman raised his hand and smacked Logan right across the face really hard, it stung like hell and Logan rubbed his face as tears welled in his eyes.
"Well you can consider your little 'love affair' with Remus over, you're never gonna see him again after this, not after Patton and I get to see him tonight." Roman evilly laughed, as Logan looked scared out of his wits.
Logan had no idea what they meant and I'm not sure if he would of been more relieved if he knew the truth or not but it didn't matter.
He was convinced they were planning to hurt Remus in some way or make him disappear, the only man Logan had ever liked romantically was about to be taken away by two cruel abusers who couldn't stand the thought of him being happy.
Roman let go of him and started to walk off with Patton, but Logan foolishly attempted to throw himself at his step father to prevent him from leaving.
Even though he had the height advantage on him, the feeble and weak Logan was really no match for the muscular and healthy Baron that stood before him and he was promptly thrown off and kicked in the ribs.

"I would love to stay here and punish you more but because of your stupid keep away game we have to go to town again for a new outfit." He felt the presence of something behind him and noticed that Virgil was spying on them, Roman didn't question it and ignored it instead, fixing his hair and adjusting his tie to regain his composure, totally ignoring the wailing six foot six inches inches of dorkiness that laid curled into a ball on the floor.
"Virgil, Patton, I need you to gather anything that looks expensive so we can sell it, custom clothes are pricey and I can't have Patton show up looking like some tramp." Roman ordered, Logan got the feeling that Virgil would be the one picking up most of the stuff.
"You know dad, it is just a ball." Virgil said "Yes, and you're only going for the food." Roman insulted, despite Virgil being rather immune to Roman and Patton's lowbrow insults at this point, it still stung a little to hear that.
Of course though the thing that hurt most was his thoughts of Logan.
Logan was tenderly holding his side and sniffling back tears, what was most pathetic of all about this situation though was that regardless of the beating he had just received he was still heart broken to see them leave again, because it didn't matter how much they hurt him, the hollow emptiness and utter loneliness of the cellar was enough to make him go mad.
