Time passed and soon Logan and Remus were married, it was a grand ceremony where Picani ended up walking Logan down the isle, after all, some one had to "give him away" and who would be better than his god father?
Virgil on the other hand, inherited Logan's childhood home after his dad was banished, he fixed it up and started making a lot of income purely from offering tours to people of the house and telling them the story of the peasant who married the prince.
As the young love birds got ready to set out on their honey moon to far away island where Logan could go and study tons and tons of foreign species he told Remus he had one last stop to make before they departed, promising that he wouldn't take very long.
He headed over to Virgil's house and approached two lovely grave stones.
He started to sniffle from the flowers he was carrying but ignored it, he wanted to give his parents a proper goodbye before he left and he wasn't about to let his allergies ruin the moment."Hi papas..." logan mumbled, sitting down and delicately placing the flowers on their head stones.
"I've grown up so much, I wish you were here to see me now.
Your little Cinders is now a prince, it's still so weird to think about that, it feels like a surreal dream I would have but it's very real.
I've even met some one, he's silly... and goofy... and... I love him.
I think you would of liked him, he makes me so happy I can't even explain it, I didn't even think you could feel this happy." He took a deep breath as tears welled up in his eyes "I know you'd be proud of me, also... I'm not gonna visit you as often, I wanna start my new life, I'm royalty now, I have so much I wanna do and I have entire new corners of the world I wanna explore, so I won't be able to visit you all the time like I used to, but I do love you both, I always will.
No matter how far away I am, I will always love you.".He tenderly touched one of his dads tomb stones, remembering all the happy times they had, wishing that they could see him now.
He stood up "I'll miss you both very much, but I have to start my life now.".
said Logan, walking away and wiping tears from his eyes.
My great great grandpa went on to become a famous author, with books ranging from literary classics to science textbooks, with out him a lot of children with poorer families wouldn't of have access to education but Logan didn't want anyone to be left out.
He and his husband would later set out to explore the world and discover all new types of animals and plant life, by the time the king and queen passed away they were more than ready for their royalty duties and went on to become some of the best rulers Elphe ever had.
Picani quit his job as a servant to become a royal nanny, taking care of Logan and Remus's adopted children and then later on their children's children, Logan even made him the god father of his kids at one point!
Virgil never got married but that was purely because he never wanted to, he was happy to just live out the rest of his days surrounded by his friends and family, his real family.Logan and Remus left a long legacy of happy citizens and new discoveries that made their relatively small kingdom stand out from the crowd and gain some proper respect from other world leaders.
There was also one other little aspect of that legacy that's really hard to trace back to them, just a simple fairytale, with swapped genders and a much simpler take on it.
As Logan's story spread through out other kingdoms more and more little details started to be scrambled in the process until people started making rumors to fill in the gaps, you can thank those rumors for all the talk of magical fairies and the change of Logan's gender.
So I guess you could say Cinderella really did live happily ever after, just not in the way you might have expected. The end.
