You give me a reason, something to believe in
I know, I know, I know
You give me a meaning, something I can breathe in

Tine's POV

To: Wat [13:42]

Love, I'm taking a half-day off and Fong will drive me back home. Can you get me some congee on your way back this evening? Phom rak khun!

I texted Wat as I waited for Fong to pick me up from my office. It was absolutely an all f'cked up day for me.

I woke up feeling a little light-headed this morning, assuming that a cup of americano would save me from further misery. Even the barista from Souri Café was shocked when I didn't order my usual Blue Hawaii.

Well, I supposed a lawyer was called a lawyer, not a doctor for a reason.

My head started pounding harder as soon as my lunch break ended and I decided that there was no way for me to be productive at work for the rest of the day anyway, calling it a day seemed to be a good choice.

"Hey Fong, is the hospital busy at the moment?"

"Nope, why? Lunch together?" Fong answered casually, I could hear him flipping his files on his desk.

"Uhhh, maybe next time, but I need a lift home, I had a bad migraine and I don't think it's appropriate for me to drive home in such a state."

"Sure, I'll be there in 15? Maybe? Can you wait?"

"Definitely, thanks. I'll see you later."

From: Wat [13:45]

Are you okay, tua woon wai? What happened?

To: Wat [13:46]

Just a bad headache, I will just head home and rest well. See you tonight.

My head was already spinning in different directions as I slumped myself against the back of the bench at the drop-off area at the frontier of the commercial building where my law firm was located.

God, I've slept for 9 hours last night. What's wrong with this migraine?

I tried my best to recall what was the trigger for such a gruesome headache, I could come up with zero possibilities.

Well, I'm a lawyer, not a doctor.

Maybe I should ask Fong later.

When I finally saw Fong's car around the corner, I lifted myself up with great difficulty, wobbling slightly to reach for the door handle.

I feel like a toddler learning how to walk and balance all over again.

I got into the car feeling extremely disoriented, the sudden change of temperature threw me into a cliff of agony as I strapped myself securely in the passenger seat.

"You good? Tine?" Fong asked as he drove out of the drop-off area.

"Yeah, just a very bad headache."

I scrunched my nose up as I felt another wave of discomfort attacking my nervous system again. I could only pinch the bridge of my nose forcefully, hoping to ease the pain for a little.
