(The Maw - Underbelly, Your POV)

We followed the hooded girl for awhile through the cold metallic innards of the Maw, emerging in a small maintenance room where I dropped the suitcase of supplies off. Six grabbed a lighter from it while I grabbed an improvised spear in case Six needs to defend herself. Why did I give the girl I hardly trust a weapon? Oh yeah, she's watching my back and probably could've killed me while I slept. Our guide, the girl in the brown coat turned to us once we were clear of any dangers.

"This is the halfway point between the Underbelly and the Depths. If you keep following this path, it'll lead you into the Maintenance section and through there is the showers, the playground and the kid rooms. But before you go any further I must warn you of the dangers here, seeming that you didn't already know." She went on to tell us about the Guests, the Janitor and the leeches.

"Of course there's more leeches..." I murmured while crossing my arms. She told us about three more monsters in here, two of which are the twin chefs and the last being The Lady. There was another called the Granny but a child had apparently killed her via electrocution with a tv.

Makes me wonder if the signal tower can reach all across the world. Even here. I shuttered at the thought, It's not just the Pale City that's affected by it...is it?

"Anymore questions before you two go off alone?" She asked, waiting for an obvious one every child asks.

Twelve knew the answer the moment he saw leeches. "I'd ask if this place is safe but dumb questions don't need answers when they've already been answered." I looked towards Six, who was twiddling idly with her thumbs. 'What ever happened to that dangerous Six that ripped a leeches throat out in the Pale City?' I wondered. Kids like Six don't behave this way, ever.

I looked back to our guide, "Nope, I guess we don't have any. Thank you so much for guiding us here. I think we've got it from here." I said with a smile, offering my hand to the girl. She shook it gently, "If we cross paths again, it'll be on far better terms than guiding the both of us through the Maw. And one last thing. My name, is Twelve." I let go of her hand, motioning Six to follow me into the maintenance section of the Maw.

.......

There wasn't much in terms of danger as we made our way through, unless you count a distorted long legged corpse hanging from the ceiling as dangerous. It wasn't until we got to the leech hang out spots is when things got annoying. I was blast a group of them with my power fist and next thing I know were falling into a hole from a faulty floorboard and landing in a puddle of black liquid. This...feels like slime...

...Leech kind of slime.

"Hey Six, do you have your lighter? I can't see anything."

Six flicked on the lighter, waving it around to see our situation. Even I realized just how much trouble we just got ourselves into.

There were leeches EVERYWHERE!

To the left of us, to the right of us, in front of us, behind us! Literally everywhere! "We are in my Nightmares!" I yelled as I looked all around the room for anyway out.

I noticed a light coming through a board on the right side of the room. "Run! Through there!" I pointed to it. Also ensuring she would have a really good piece of advice as well, "AND DO NOT STOP RUNNING!" I ran first, Six closely following me as I punched a leech's head off, Six jumped over two of them attempting to coil themselves around her body. One last leech stood in the way, the ones here are way smaller than the ones in the Pale City so I won't have to worry about losing my arm anytime soon.

I kicked it into the pursuing leeches with a hard kick then pushed the board down and out the way, emerging on an elevated platform with a ladder and an unlit lantern across from us, a small gap in the boards let us jump over to it.

The leeches came out onto the platform but upon seeing that they wouldn't make the gap due to their bodily restrictions, wormed their way back into the hell room.

I looked at the lantern, then the ladder. "I hate this place already." I said under my breath. Six lit the lantern and we started journeying through the Maw once again. Going through a hole in the wall and walking onto a catwalk.

There was the sound of metal dragging overhead and someone clearing their throat, could it be the janitor the brown coat girl warned us about?

I have a feeling I'll find that out later, for now there's a makeshift rope made from bed sheets hanging down, I went first to make sure the room was clear, helping Six up once I made sure no leeches would jump out at us.

We entered into a bathroom and were stopped from entering the next room by electric bars. "So what now?" Six asked, I looked around for a switch or something that would turn off the electricity to the room ahead of us. I peeked inside, careful to not touch the bars. "This must be the playroom, or the playground as that girl said."

I looked back to the door, noticing a small bit of metal being covered, moving the door out of the way revealed a switch, a few centimeters too high up for me to reach. "Hey Six, can you help me with this?" I asked and she nodded, I lifted her up as she pulled the switch down, shutting off the lights and power to the room.

The switch slowly started to go back up as Six made her way through the bars, I pushed her through just as they came back on and almost shocked my hand. "Sorry, it was that, or get barbecued." She gave me a look of thanks.

I looked at the toilet paper holder that was next to the toilets, pulling it under the switch and allowing me to pull it again. Without a second to waste I told Six to run through the other set of bars as I held the switch down. She did, and now I have to figure out how to make it through the room without becoming fried Twelve...

And idea struck me, this toilet paper looks strong enough to hold it down as I go through. I unrolled a roll and placed some under the weighted box so it's stay down for awhile. I wrapped the roll around the handle of few times, pulling it down and turning the power off. I wasted no time in rushing through both sets of bars and joining Six on the other side.

We walked past a few sets of rooms, the faint snoring of children inside of them. We stepped out into quite the sight, almost life-like child statues were standing, huddling and laying frozen in stone in the middle of the room with a bed being flipped over beside them.

I walked out from behind the pillar, the Eye on the wall snapping open and blaring a freezing light upon me. If felt as if I was turning to stone!

I quickly dived behind the bed and out of the light, "These aren't statues! They were children! Stay out of the light!" I yelled to Six, she nodded and waited for the Eye to look to the other side of the room before joining me behind the bed. It stopped on the bed once more before moving its focus to the pillar.

I grabbed Six by the hand and made a run for it. Making it to the other side before it had a chance to turn its gaze onto us again.

We climbed a stack of cages onto the next floor, walking into a room full of sleeping kids. This is the first time I've seen so many kids in one place outside of the Heavens Watch safe
house in the Pale City. My amazement was cut short as the door creaked open, revealing a long armed fellow with skin covering his eyes.

I motioned to Six to hide under a bed and make no noise. I've learned that monsters that can't see have a super heightened sense of hearing.

He felt around the room for the pathway me and Six had came from, walking out and closing the door behind him. Guess we won't be going back that way. But then again, would we really need to?
