(Location: The ????, Your POV - 12 years old)
"Where the-?" I looked around, I'm in a garden, there's a weird statue and I really shouldn't have trusted Nine...
I took a few sniffs, this smells familiar but kind of strange. Weird ocean smell but without the metal, so this isn't the Maw.
'What the hell did Nine do?' I shook my head, my body is small again so I must've been put into another loop of some kind. Though, where am I?
"Another one? Those cages must be getting so very dull. Mistress Veronica will be oh so very disappointed in me." I spun around to see Archie- 'ARCHIBALD?!' I tried to yell but my throat was incredibly dry, it's our family butler from the Nest. Does that mean I'm back at the Nest?
Archibald picked me up with his apparent telekinesis, and brought me inside. I noticed rows of human-like dolls sitting on chairs around a television, I wonder if it works? If Archie is a deformed monster, then it has to or had to. Can the Signal Tower even reach this far? Just how far can that damned thing reach?!
"Put me down." I said as loud as I could with my throat feeling as if I had swallowed a pound of sandpaper and washed it down with more sand.
"I wouldn't have needed to pluck you from our wondrous garden had that girl in the raincoat not opened nearly every cage in the storage. Do not worry however, our dollmaker, the Craftsman, will soon make you as immortal as those children in the chairs." He replied with a smile.
'Wait those were actual kids?! Did Veronica lose her fucking mind while I was gone? Playing with dolls made from children? This is insane!' My power fist sparked onto my fist and my wings ignited on my back. "Hands off!"
I dodged back and out of his reach, "Where's Veronica? Seems like she needs a good talking to." I said before Archibald used his telekinesis to freeze me in place while an open cage clamped around me.
"A child with powers the same as young mistress' father? How intriguing. And that name, 'Archie' you must have an explanation for this no? Only the ones I serve know my name."
How did he? Oh, right. He's telepathic.
"Long story, I'll tell it once I'm out of this cage. Do you mind?" I asked, he shook his head in refusal. Archie looks like he's trying to come up with a question, what kind of fuckery am I about to be asked?
"I'll let you out on one condition..." He started, waiting for me to accept.
"And what would that be?" I asked.
"Tell me something only Veronica would know." He smiled, knowing any other kid would fail this question, in fact I'm sure every other kid has failed this question.
I smiled, I have just the thing for this. "8 years ago, Veronica, her parents, and her little brother took a trip to the Pale City. That same trip would cause them to lose said brother when he was 4 years old right before the Signal Tower started frying people's minds and turning them into monsters." Archibald clearly wasn't expecting me to know all of that, but when you're the brother that got left behind, you tend to not forget that kind of crap.
"How interesting...The young mistress might have an interest in you," He opened the cage door with his mind, and I jumped down onto a table. Did they? Did they finally change this tablecloth? I think they finally did. Finally, that old one was really tacky.
"Stay here, I shall go fetch her from her room. And if you do wander, there are some things that are better unseen." He floated away, using telekinesis to open a door and shut it behind him. I looked around the entrance, not much has changed I see, those banners are still there, albeit newer, mine is gone-
