(The Maw - The Kitchen, Your POV)
We traveled through the vents for quite awhile, finally reaching a freezer like room. I looked around, "I have a really bad idea." Six said to me.
Wouldn't be the first of us to have bad idea here, "I'm all about bad ideas. Let's hear it." I stood against the wall. Six pointed to the hooks that went through the room.
Six:"We hold onto one of the hooks and use it to traverse the gap safely. Then we improvise."
RK:"Isn't everything we do improvised?" He asked.
"Yes, yes it is. Now come on, I'll go first." I waited for a free hook to come by, grabbing onto it and passing over the gap into the-
As soon as my feet hit the pile of bags I slid off quickly. "What the hell is this? It stinks." RK and Six weren't far behind.
Six's stomach once more decided to be the inconvenient thing that it is, growled in pain. She stopped moving and held it for a moment.
I picked her up like the way I would see firefighters would in old vhs tapes. I think it was called bridal style? Either way she was surprised but too distracted with her stomach to argue about it. "New plan. Escaping will have to wait. RK, we gotta find her some food. And soon." We walked into a room with rats, one of which were stuck in a rat trap.
I could see Six's red eyes under her bangs, they were deadpanned at the struggling rat in the trap. "Six?" I whispered, she put her hand to my chest and pushed me off my feet with a strangely large amount of force. The sudden unbalancing of my feet caused me to drop Six.
She was faster to recover, way faster than I've ever seen her. She walked over to the trapped rat, kneeled down next to its neck. And tore into it like it was a rotisserie chicken-
Even RK had a look of shock. "Poor rat." He said while gagging.
"Six, what. the. hell." She continued to eat the rat, it had stopped squirming a few moments ago. "We'll just...go wait in the next room." I grabbed RK by the hand and left as she continued to feast on the rat. I pushed a lid over to create a bridge across.
Once we could stop hearing the sickening sounds of Six's gross display of inelegance, RK stopped in his tracks.
RK:"What the heck was that about? She just ate a live rat! That's super gross, those things could have all kinds of diseases." He shuttered just thinking about it.
"Let's just hope this is a one time thing. When you hear her stomach growl like that, she seems to need food immediately. It's strange, I've never seen a child's stomach growl like a beasts." I crossed my arms and leaned against a wall. "Let's just wait here until she's done. We won't bring it up, it never happened." I looked at RK, "Alright?"
RK:"I don't know if I can just forget about that, it was so...brutal." He nervously rubbed his arm.
I walked over to him and grabbed him by the shoulder, "Don't worry. If she tries any funny business with you, I'll stop her." I reassured him. Pushing a cart under a window. Climbing onto it and into a kitchen.
Six cleared her throat and walked under the window. Putting her hand out expectingly.
I smiled and grabbed her hand, pulling her up. "You full? There's an entire pantry in here, eat to your hearts content." I waved my hand throughout the room. I noticed a bunch of orange vegetable. "Hell yeah, they got carrots." I jumped down, silently landing and snuck over to them, grabbing them off the shelf.
I looked into the next room, I noticed a chef chopping a steak on a cutting board. Man I wish I could learn how to cook without worrying about being the one getting cooked.
