It was never fair
and I've never had more fear
when it gets down to where
and right here
standing in front of this crowd
what scares me most is them
their voices may be silent but their thoughts loud
they write it down in their heads with dark ink pens
and my voice shakes
my face turns beat red
I feel like the ground shakes
at the sound of every word I've said
it isn't fair
and I know fear
because I hate to share
that I'm standing in front of the people whose judgement is hot enough to sear
(NOTE: Trying out a different rhyme scheme like 1/2/1/2 and not just 1/1/2/2 and so on like I usually do. I was inspired by some Iggy Azalea "rapping" for the fair/fear part)
