I remember that day
that won't go away
I have no energy of my soul to erase and I have to save
the memory I wish you didn't engrave
you put the words into my skin
with a hot pin
and I try to cover it up with my clothes
but every day I with with you it seems like it grows
I try to conceal, and the pain it left--I don't want to feel
the memory has driven me to insanity
makes me want to curse out words of profanity
take the pain away
make the words you'll say
over and over in my mind
melt away in time!
take back your words and the things you did
to your own kid!
take the hot pin
out of my pale and soft skin
tell me there's something else you can do
and to be true
there could have been a happy ending
and hell forever the world wouldn't be sending!
I remember that day
and I want it to go away
can time travel exist?
for a soul that needs to be fixed?
lets go back to that time
with a reason and a rhyme
and lets change the course
even if we have to talk about the issue until our voices hoarse
don't get the hot pin
because there's another way we can both win
without engraving it on my flesh
and making me forever a mess!
