I could write you a poem
about how I'm so alone
I could write you a letter
because I've been feeling under the weather
I could write you a song
about how you've been so wrong
i've been so misunderstood
and I wish you would
take a listen to me
so you could see
how badly I'm trying
and the tears I've been crying
l have a lot to say
but you never give me the time of day
so maybe if I write you a letter
you'll understand better
