When did it happen?
It was so fast.
It just happened suddenly.
How did it end like this?
It's so cold and dark.
Why isn't there a light?
Why can't I see anything?
And why is it this so comforting?
"Roi" a hand slammed on the window beside me. "Roi!" I tear my gaze off from the window and slightly raise my head to look at him. "Why?" I asked eyeing the arms that are caging me.
"School ended 10 minutes ago" he answered giving me a glare. "And?" His glare hardens. "Don't you have any plans to go home?! You don't have a club and I can't leave you here alone!" He replied.
"Hey, you idiot!" Someone shouted from outside our room. "Clubs have started and we've been waiting for you for ten minutes!" Footsteps approached our direction. "We already find some evidence about the— oh my bad. We didn't mean to interrupt your time with your girlfriend"
"Girlfriend?! She's not my girlfriend!" With a loud sigh, I stood up making the three of them back away.
"We're sorry if we—"
"It's fine. I'm sorry, he waited for me here that's why he's late" I carried my bag and sling it on my shoulder. "Bye," I told them leaving the classroom first.
I stopped right in front of the window and stared at the closed field. With a loud sighed I walked away, arriving at the grounds I raised my legs to skip the barricade and walked down the ground.
Stopping at the center I stared at it swim on the ground. "What a nuisance" I muttered watching it disappear through the ground. I looked to check if there's still more around here.
Let's just go back tonight
I turned my back and walked away to go home.
"Roi! Roi! Roi! Ro—" I opened the door and gave him a glare. "Stop shouting. You're disturbing not only me right now but also the—" I frowned.
"Is there something wrong, Roi?"
"Nothing. Why are you here at?" I looked at the wall clock then back at him. "8 pm?" He gave me a grin and raised the paper bag he's carrying. "I bought dinner. I know you'll just eat instant noodles tonight" I stared at him and before I can close the door he entered the house without my permission.
"Hey"
"Yep?" He looked at me behind his shoulder. "You didn't get yourself in some weird situation right now right?" I closed the door and leaned on it, my eyes narrowing at him.
"Nope! I didn't do anything!" He smiles. "Let's eat! Food is better when it's hot!" I stared at him till he disappears through the kitchen.
If he didn't do anything then why am I sensing something from him?
I forgot to clean the school
"Roi, why do you look so annoyed today?" In annoyance, I gripped his shirt earning a squeak from him. "Not only you barge into my home last night, forcing me to eat, and—" he pushed something inside my mouth and I unconsciously chew it.
"I won't apologize because I don't regret a single thing about it" he smiles. "Kikufuku mochi?" I asked after swallowing the food. "Yep! A good way to start the morning is to eat something sweet to chase the negativities away!" He grinned pushing another mochi in my mouth.
I chewed the food and let him go. "Don't you know that it's bad to eat sweets in the morning? You managed to chase the negativity away but you'll receive cavities in exchange" I grumbled earning a chuckle from him.
"You're the only person I know who doesn't get diabetes or any tooth problems when it comes to sweets" I rolled my eyes and we stopped by at the intersection.
"Go on without me!" I simply nodded my head and watch him take the route to his house. As I slowly get near to the school I frowned. I stopped at the gate and scowled.
What's with this presence?
The energy is spread around, bringing my hands together I clasped them and walked inside.
"Find the object"
There are only two reasons.
First, the rugby field.
Second, an object.
It's still early that's why I walked to the rugby field. "You're still here" I muttered seeing it didn't evolve. "Vwhooo" it made a noise disappearing again through the ground.
So it's the object
I clicked my tongue in annoyance. Irritated because I can't dispose of it. If he didn't keep me company last night I wouldn't be dealing with this kind of problem right now.
"Woof!" I grimaced making mental note to deal with this tonight. I followed them and they lead me to the far side of the school.
"A thermometer shed?"
"Woof!"
"Are you telling me they keep it inside of this?"
"Woof!"
I slightly crouched down and opened it. I closed it again and count for five seconds before opening it again. "Huh?" I looked around the shed and even put half of my body inside.
"It's empty" I gritted my teeth glaring at the shed. "Tsk one way to find out" I stood up and raised my leg. I swing it and gave the shed a strong hard kick shattering it.
"Okay, which idiot stole this?" I hissed when it didn't throw up the object. I thought there's some illusion but looks like someone stole whatever object this thing is keeping.
The bell rang signaling that classes will now start. Heaving an annoyed sighed I rubbed their heads before they both disappeared.
"I'm going to beat that idiot that took it"
"Roi, class has end— she went home already?"
The door opened and she stepped out. The wind blew her hair together with her skirt. "Looks like I'll be camping here for a while" she muttered her eyes gazing at the city.
"What's with this rugby field?" He stopped and looked at it. "Is there a dead body buried here somewhere?" He followed its movements.
'Even so. I'd say it's a grade-two level? In a place like this? I wonder if it has something to do with the cursed object'
He walked to the stairs when he suddenly got goosebumps out of a sudden. 'This feeling. I know this feeling' he looked around the place. Then he involuntarily flinched. He quickly whipped his head above and saw nothing.
'Shit there's no doubt about it!!'
She used the handrails to slide down to get down faster. Pulling her phone out she dialed a number while running through the hallways.
[The number you have dialed is either unattended or out of coverage area please try again later]
She tries it again and stops. Resting her phone in her shoulder she clasped her hand and whatever happening right now outside caught her attention.
[The number you have dialed—] she ended the call and resume her run. When she arrived outside whatever gathering is happening finally ended.
"Roi, I thought you left already! I have something important to do today so catch up with you later, bye!" Her eyes widen when he sprinted past her.
"Hey stop!" But he already left the school. "There's no doubt. That idiot stole it!" She runs to catch up with him but when she got he already disappeared.
'No wonder Takagi-sensei always persuade him to join the track and field team'
Her eyes glanced on the side and she scowled. "Mind explaining to me what is happening right now?" He grimaced looking away rubbing his head.
"I'm sorry"
"That is not the answer that I am looking for right now" a guilty expression suddenly flashed through his face making her scowl disappear.
"He's going to Sugisawa hospital. Go. I need to go back to the house to get something" he nodded his head running.
"Thanks" she just grumbled and run to her house.
The sun has disappeared once I reached the house. Walking to my room I tossed my bag and opened my wardrobe. I pulled the wooden floor and I wasn't successful on the first try.
On the second try, I was successful and the dust made me sneeze. I pulled it out and grimaced at how much dust is accumulated. Strapping it behind me I didn't bother to change my outfit and walked out of the house and run back to the school.
On my, to the door, my phone rang. "You finally answered—" he cut me off but the voice wasn't his. [Roi] I took a stop and catch my breath first. "What's wrong?" I asked slightly huffing.
[Grandpa is dead] clicking my tongue I run in a different direction. "Wait for me, idiot" the call suddenly ended and I placed my phone inside my pocket. The hospital is far from my house unlike the school and I won't waste my time traveling there on foot.
Going inside a dark alley I closed my eye and cleared my mind. When I opened it. I saw white lines, the white lines that are the structure of the building. I can see everything from inside and outside of the place and I focused my mind. Focusing it on the hospital and the place zoomed till it revealed the hospital building right in front of me.
The darkness disappeared, crawling back under me and I saw myself right in front of the hospital. Without wasting any time I run inside and went to the reception.
"Itadori Yuji. Have you seen him?"
"Are you his friend?"
Friend? I don't know what kind of relationship we two have, there wasn't even a label between us in the first place
"Something like that" I answered. "Well, he just left a minute ago" my eyes twitched in annoyance.
That idiot! He made go all the way here just to leave?!
"He was with someone"
"Frantic hair that looks like he's been zapped by lightning? That resembles almost a sea urchin?" She frowned nodding her head.
"Actually you—"
"Thanks"
I went outside and pulled my phone out contacting him. It took him five rings before he answered it.
"Care to explain to me now what is ha—"
[There going to remove the seal in your school!]
"What?!" My head throbbed when I used it again.
