Chapter 6

It's been a week and between those days I received three missions already which I successfully finished.

"So Noroi" I hummed throwing some Meiji's strawberry chocolate inside my mouth. "Stop eating you're going to ruin your mask!" I deadpan at her. "When we talk the muscles in our face moves. If we can talk while we have this skincare mask then we can also eat" she gave a blank expression.

"Do what you want. There's no point in arguing with you" she sighed and I continue to munch on my food. "Why did you even call me in the first place?" I asked opening the soda.

"Let's talk about boys!" She grinned. I stood up and was ready to leave when she pulled me down. "What's your type of boy? Mine isn't ugly and doesn't have a bad smell!" She dreamingly said.

"I don't have a type"

"Huh, what do you mean you don't have a type?" Her scary side turned on. "Everyone has a type and you're no exemption on that" she growled and I am wondering how I ended up in this predicament.

"I don't really have a type. Because what's the use of having a type when you're going to fall to its opposite or maybe to someone who doesn't meet it?" She stopped. "You have a po— don't change the topic! Just answer the question dammit!" She ordered making me sigh.

"Someone that is nice?"

"Why are you hesitant?"

"Because I told you I don't have a type" I remove her hand that's holding my shirt. "Then how about Itadori?" Her eyes narrowed and I raised an eyebrow.

"What does Yuji have to do with this?"

"You didn't hear this from me but Itadori is nice" I nodded my head. "And?" I asked wondering why she brought Yuji's name.

"And you said your type is nice people right?"

"Doesn't anyone want a nice person? Only idiots who have a few screws loose will pick a partner that isn't nice" she groaned clenching her fist. "You are proving a point to the point it starting to tick me off!" She slammed her hand on the coffee table.

"Okay" she took a deep breath and her eyes turned sharp. "What do you think of Itadori?" She sternly asked. "Even though he's an idiot he's reliable. He has a good heart to good that will make you feel guilty. He can be responsible and not sometimes but most of the time he's a responsible person" I mumbled then his face flashed through my mind.

"Although he's annoying he's really nice" I finished and got confused seeing the wide grin on her face.

Why is she reminding me of Gojo?

"So Noroi" she smiles intertwining her fingers resting her chin in the back of her hands. "If someone confesses to you in a romantically way what will you—"

"Reject their proposal"

"Eh?! You won't give I— I mean give them a chance— proposal?! Isn't it too early for a proposal?!"

"Well, I did get a proposal 4 years ago. Wait was it four years?" I whispered to myself but I think she heard it because her jaw drop. "You got a proposal?! Please tell me that isn't a marriage proposal! Tell me that isn't a marriage pro—"

"It's a marriage proposal" I grimaced taking a sip. Kugisaki gasps and held her chest. "How old are you?" She whispered. "16" I answered and her body dropped to the floor.

"Four years? So you were twelve at that time"

I chose not to stay a word and just ate the snacks we two have.


"Oi Fushiguro" Megumi raised an eyebrow when Nobara entered the room with a scowl on her expression. "Kugisaki, are you okay?" Yuji is worried for Megumi's sake seeing that he'll feel the girl's wrath early in the morning.

"What do you need?" Megumi doesn't forget things so easily, that's why he's wondering what made the girl so upset with him. He didn't do anything that will make her upset.

"Is it true?"

"True about what?"

"That Noroi got a marriage proposal?"

"A lot of boys in our school confess to her! Some even proposed!" Yuji chimed snickering. "Those who did it have guts and I commended them for that" he chuckled and he suddenly shivered for some reason.

And that for some reason is Megumi who is glaring at him at the information he drops. "Oh, so it's only normal for her to receive those?" Nobara sighed in relief.

"Well, it's quite shocking to have a twelve-year-old receive a marriage proposal. Probably puppy lo—"

"Kugisaki, I've only known Roi since the third year of middle school till now. We just met last year" her eyes widen at that. "Well, maybe she received a lot of confessions. Noroi is a beautiful lady. Just like I said it's probably puppy love. Kids always do this for fun" Yuji nodded his head agreeing to her words.

Megumi continues to sip his coffee remembering a certain memory that is connected to what Nobara said.


"Hey Roi, let's go out! The weather is nice today!" Yuji smiles right after the class ended. Nobara snickered and bump her hips to him. "Hey what's your problem?" She gave him a teasing smile and look to check if the two are busy and when they're busy talking to each other he gestured Itadori to lower which he confusingly followed.

"I thought you don't like her? But why are you asking her out for a date?"

"Huh?! A date?!" The two turned their heads to them. "Did you just seriously ask Itadori out on a date?" She hugged her body and move away from him quickly.

"Of course not! He's not my type!" She shouted muttering a cuss feeling how her cheeks flare from embarrassment. "Then what made Itadori react like that?" She gave Megumi a glare then her eyes landed on Noroi to check if she's showing some reaction.

She doesn't know if she failed or not because she's not showing any kind of reaction! And she doesn't know if that is good or bad!

"I need to go," she told them after receiving a message from Gojo. "Another mission?" Megumi asked frowning slightly. "Yeah and—" another message pop out and she loudly clicked her tongue. "Looks like I'm going to get myself reunited with him. Talk about coincidence" she mumbled.

"Huh him?!"

The two are just looking at them back and forth. Megumi has an annoyed expression, he's also slightly scowling while Noroi is grimacing.

"Bye," she told them leaving quickly Megumi quickly followed her the two being left behind still processing what just happened.

Nobara is the first one who got her senses back and Yuji regained his senses when she patted his shoulder.

"You don't like Noroi right?" He nodded his head with a small frown. "Then you won't have a problem if someone has her right?" For some reason, his body froze.

Nobara who noticed that smirk.

"Judging by her expression and also the words reunited tell us whoever that person has a past with her" she chuckled giving his shoulder one last pat.

"The only thing we FRIENDS can do for her is to support her through everything in her life. And one of that is to be happy for her relationship" she smiled leaving first, leaving Yuji alone in the room.

"Brat, even the stupidest person can tell you have some feelings to that Noroi brat"

Sukuna scoffs noticing Nobara's plan.

"I don't have feelings for, Roi" he whispered making the curse residing in his body scoff again.

"Tell that to someone who will actually believe you"

Yuji doesn't like her. They're friends. They're friends for more than a year now.

"Whatever! The more you keep denying it the more your feelings will get stronger!"

He groaned massaging his temple when Nobara's word suddenly rang in his head.

'Why did I manage to remember that when I can't even remember our lesson?'

With a loud sighed he left the room.


Yuji was taking a night stroll, dinner just ended an hour ago without his friends present.

'Roi's not in her dorm so where could she be?'

The girl got home around 6 pm but they have never seen her. She didn't even go to them to show herself like what she always does whenever she goes out on a mission.

"Brat"

"What do you want?" He grumbled. "Go to that building" he frowned and looked around. "Which building?" They are a lot of buildings and he doesn't know which building he's pointing to.

"The small one on the right, near the tree"

"Why would I go there?" He huffed lips forming into a small pout making the king of curses annoyed. "You will go there like I said unless you want me to torment you. Making you unable to sleep" he clicked his tongue following his others, not wanting to risk having a lack of sleep.

He shivered when he got close. He got goosebumps when he stood in front of the entrance. Sukuna narrowed his eyes. The place was dark, so dark like its an abyss.

But he can pick up an energy on the end. An energy he picked up on the day he got incarnated.

'That woman is surely there'

"Go to the end"

"Huh?! Can't you see how dark it is?! Who knows what this building has!" He hissed rubbing his arms.

"Just go there you dumb brat" he grumbles. "Unless you really like to stay up all night today?" He threatened, making Yuji groan.

'Great now I have three people bullying me'

"I can hear your thoughts"

He didn't bother to reply back. Taking a deep breath he raised his leg and stepped foot inside.

'I'm still alive. In still alive. I'm still ali—'

"Move it already!"

He rolled his eyes and entered the building. "I don't want to go inside!" He screamed feeling the pressure after stepping inside. "If you don't have plans to find out what this building has then swapped with me!" His vessel is starting to annoy me and he doesn't understand why he got stuck in a cowardly vessel.

"And let you go on a rampage?! I know I'm stupid like everyone says but I am not that stupid to let you out!"

"That Noroi brat is here!" Yuji stopped. "Why didn't you say it in the beginning?!" He scoffs leaning on his throne.

"Go straight. There's probably a door on the end of this path. I'm sure she's behind that door" just like a switch, Yuji's behavior flip that made Sukuna grumble.

What Sukuna said was right there's a door, a shoji door. Without wasting any moment he slid it open.

"Ro—" he stops and stared at her. "Yuji, what are you doing here?" She panted, catching her breath. "Roi, what did you do?" He asked entering the small dojo. The room is dark like the hallway, but he can see that some parts of the room are broken. There's a hole in the floor and in the wall, broken woods are scattered to make it short the small room got ruined by her.

"Venting out" she mumbled holding her shirt to wipe her sweats. Yuji's eyes widen and close their distance. He sat down beside her and held her knuckles.

"You should have worn gloves" he whispered staring at her injury. "I'm fine" she pulled her hand away. "No you're not" he grimaces.

They only met last year, in their third year of middle school. She looks hard to read but once you penetrate her heart she's easy to read. And Yuji can tell that something is making her frustrated.

"Does it have to do with your mission? Or the person you were partnered with?" That's the only reason why she's acting like that. She was fine the whole day not after she received a mission and also a partner.

Noroi didn't answer his question and continued to stare at the ceiling. "It's not his fault" she mumbled after a five-minute silence. "But it's still frustrating" she sighed raising her arm to cover her eyes.

"Being chained by the rules, by the tradition is really frustrating. So frustrating that it almost makes me snap" Yuji just listened to her so as Sukuna because he doesn't have anything to do but to listen to his vessel's surroundings.

"My partner was an ex-suitor" he gawks at that. "Is suitor is the correct term? I mean he didn't court me and jump straight up to a marriage proposal. He even asks for my hand again after seeing each other" Yuji's lips thinned.

"If it weren't for Gojo I've been probably got married to him"

"What?!" He exclaimed. "Political marriage. A marriage that will not benefit us but our family" she sighed and Sukuna frowned.

"Marriage like that only happens in clans" he piped in. "Which clan did you come from?" He narrowed his eyes. "Just leave me alone. I'm having a moment here. Girls need to have their moment too" she groaned and he clicked his tongue disappearing.

"Oi brat, what's her full name?"

'I don't know'

"What do you mean you don't know?! Your her friend her?!"

Sukuna can't believe that his vessel doesn't know her name.

'Well I know but I forgot about it okay?! So don't put the blame on me!'

"You really are useless"

Yuji pouted and before his attention can be diverted by him he gave it back to Noroi. "Do you still have a connection with this person? Are you two friends?" He asked. "Just connected with him again after four years. friends? I don't know but we're acquaintances. He's only proposing to me because it's an order from his family. But he means no harm to me, well even if he is I'll just fight back" she chuckled.

"Judging by her expression and also the words reunited tell us whoever that person has a past with her"

"Huh, what's this?" The curse smirk. "Is this the human emotion called jealousy?" He chuckled making Yuji's eyes wide. "You don't like her right? So why are you getting jealous?" He laughed.

"Or maybe you just don't want to admit you like her?" He teased. "Well even if it's true or not someone as pathetic and weak as you aren't fit for her" he mocked. Yuji unconsciously clenched his fist.

"Noroi doesn't look like it but I can tell she's strong. You on the other hand are far from her level or everyone's level! Whoever that person I can tell he came from a big shot clan because only clans like that do political marriage proposals. If he's part of the three big families then it means he's strong. Someone who can match her, someone you can't reach" he insulted, laughing.

"It's amusing to see you getting enraged when you don't have feelings for her to begin with. Or maybe you just don't really want to admit it. Scared you might ruin what you have right now with her? Scared she'll reject you? Scared your little friendship will be ove—"

Yuji didn't manage to hear the last words when he felt something heavy on his lap. Looking down he saw her head resting on his lap.

"I'm going to take a short nap" she muttered turning to face his stomach and his body tense when she wrapped her arms around his waist, burying her face in his stomach.

His hand moved on its own and he saw himself combing her hair.

"Ugh human emotions that aren't pleasure and displeasure are really disgusting" Sukuna groaned.

'Shut up'

"Should I manifest a mouth in your hand and bite her?" He threatened, scoffing loudly. "Fucking admit it already. You like this brat. That Nobara brat can tell it. Even that Fushiguro brat can also tell. Heck, maybe that Gojo Satoru too!" Sukuna doesn't understand why he's doing this but seeing his pathetic vessel being like this is making him frustrated.

Yuji didn't say a word and continued to comb her hair, a soft smile on his face seeing how peaceful she sleeps.


"How come you have two uniforms?!" Nobara groaned seeing me wearing pants instead of skirts. "It's uncomfortable to move around with a skirt," I told her entering our classroom.

Megumi offered his hand at me and I pulled my left hand out of my pocket giving it to him. "Huh is your hand okay, Noroi?" I nodded my head at her and sat on Megumi's desk. Pulling my right hand out of my pocket and let him examine my wounds.

"Don't you know other ways to vent out?" He deadpanned massaging my knuckles. "I don't feel like screaming. It will only damage my throat" I mumbled. "But your damaging your hand" he flatly replied.

"Aw how cute. Fushiguro being a worried relative" his eyes twitched in annoyance and quickly stood up chasing Nobara who run out of the room. "Good morning, Roi" Yuji smiled entering the room. "Morning" I yawned and he approached me.

"How's your hand?" He softly asked holding my hands rubbing my knuckles softly. "It's fine. I'm used to this so it doesn't hurt" I answered blowing the strands of hair blocking my face.


Yuji noticed what his friend is doing so he stopped massaging her knuckles. He raised his hand and Noroi stopped when he combed her hair backward. Some strands fell on the side and Yuji tucked them in behind her ear.

Noroi on the other hand unconsciously leaned on his touch making Yuji flabbergasted. He can feel the heat slowly climbing up to his face.

Nobara manages to outrun death, huffingly walking to the door and the scene the room greeted her made her stunned.

'This virgin ass boy!'

As quietly as she can be she slowly walked or. Sukuna who saw her scoff. But before she can leave the room Megumi entered scaring the shits out of her.

"Itadori" Yuji shivered and quickly looked to the door his face erupted with crimson seeing his two classmates staring at him. One with amusement the other is ready to kill him.

Without a word, he left the room pushing him out of the way. "ITADORI YUJI, GET BACK HERE!!" Megumi shouted chasing him. Nobara hops in her direction a grin on her face.

"What was that?" In her eyes, they look like they're going to kiss. "What was what?" Noroi asked sitting on her chair. "That!" She exclaimed. "That what?" She asked, a small frown on her face.

'Is she dense or an idiot like us too?'

With a loud sigh, she walked to her desk and dropped her butt to her seat. Noroi has a question mark on her head when her question didn't get an answer.

Meanwhile, the chase between the two boys is still ongoing.


"Should we show ourselves with Noroi?"

"Why bother?"

"Why are you so rude, Maki?"

"Salmon"

"She doesn't have any interest in us, to begin with. If she has she probably looked for us" I grumble rubbing my head. "You jealous and ang—" I smacked the wooden staff at him, hitting him square in the head.

"Shut up"

"Salmon cod roe" we looked at him and he pointed his finger somewhere. "Tuna Tuna" we followed it and we quickly ducked, crawling to hide behind the trees.

"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my—" I hit him in the head and gave him a glare. "We'll get caught because of you!" I whisper shout at him. "Who wouldn't react like me?!" He waves his hand almost hitting my legs. "Then be like Toge! Silently screaming!" I pointed at our silent friend. His eyes tell us how shocked he is.

We were planning to take a night training here in the training field when we saw her sprawled on the ground.

"Roi!!" We flinched and took a peek. "Who's that?" I shrugged my shoulder and narrowed my eyes at the kid who approached her. "Wait could he be" he whispered and we both looked at Panda. "Sukuna's vessel? Itadori Yuji?" Our eyes turned wide.

"Because he's so casual and close with her! Megumi told us the reason why she's here is because of Itadori!"

"Roi, if you're going to sleep, sleep on the dorm not here!!" Thanks to his loud voice we managed to hear what he is saying to her. On the other hand, we didn't hear what Noroi said.

"I have never seen Noroi being close with anyone other than Megumi" Itadori crouched down and held her when she suddenly spins kicking the back of his legs.

"Why you!" He started to chase her and we were shocked at how fast he is. When he caught up with her the two started to exchange attacks.

"He's good but Noroi is better"

"Salmon"

"Oh my gosh! A panda shouldn't see something like this" he silently squealed blocking his eyes.

"Tuna mayo" 'I don't think they're friends. Well in Itadori case I think'

Itadori managed to bring her down, pinning her to the ground. There's a fond smile on his face. A smile that looks familiar in our eyes.

"Are they going to kiss?" Panda whispered peeking through the gaps of his finger. "ITADORI!!" We flinched at that loud voice.

Itadori quickly moves away from Noroi and nervously stood up, backing away. "FUSHIGURO, YOU GOT IT ALL WRONG!!" He nervously exclaimed and Megumi made the dog hand sign.

"It's cute seeing how protective Megumi is to her" we snickered. Noroi stood up and we all winced when she punched him in the face. Megumi gave her a glare and punch her back and the two started to fight. Itadori looks conflicted, not knowing what to do.

"They really love to beat each other. Should we call Satoru?" Panda suggested. "Salmon. Tuna mayo" we quietly move away leaving the area.

"Do you think Noroi already found her happiness?"
