Chapter 14

There was a sharp pain in my head so painful that I saw myself throwing up on the bowl.

I feel like I'm going through a hang over

"R... Kay" someone is holding my hair and patting my back while I just continue to throw up all the foods my stomach gathered.

"Roi, are you okay?" I tilted my head and my eyes squinted. "Roi, can you hear me?" Yuji worriedly asked wiping my mouth with a towel. "Yeah" he helped me to stand up and I hold on to him for support when I staggered. He flushed the bowl and I wash my mouth.

"What happened?" I groaned suddenly feeling sick, the pain, the ache still lingering in my head. "You're sick" I gave him a dumbfounded look while he assists me out of the bathroom.

"Sick like sickness or sick like a sick person?"

"Sick like a sickness" holding my neck my face scrunched feeling how my temperature is hotter than my usual body temperature. "Here" I mumbled a small thanks and drank the water and I can tell how dehydrated I am by finishing the whole bottle within five seconds.

"How the fuck did I got sick?" I mumbled resting my head on his shoulder. "Ieiri-sensei said it was fatigue and stress" he answered engulfing me in a hug.

"Fatigue and stress huh?" I mumbled and was startled a little bit when the door opened with a loud bang. "I brought food!" Taking a peek Gojo is holding a paper bag in his right hand a water heater on the left. My eyes squinted when he opened the room lights.

"Okay young lady, which one do you like?"

"Sensei, instant noodles are bad!"

"Spicy seafood ramen" I answered burying my face on the crook of his neck, his scent calming my system down.

"Okay as we wait for our foods to get cooked!" I hold on to Yuji tightly when Gojo tugged me away from him. "Yuji, let her go" he ordered. "Sensei, she's the one holding on to me!" He answered raising his hands in the air.

"Noroi, let him go"

"Let me go" I kicked my feet and I let out a sigh of relief feeling it came into contact with him. "Gojo, stop pestering me. My head is still aching" I tiredly mumbled and grimace feeling the sharp pain again.

"Fine fine fine, but I don't want to talk while your back is facing me, Noroi" with a loud grumbled I pulled away from Yuji and sit beside him, leaning to him and hugging his arm.

"Gosh can't you show respect to the single here?"

"Hard to show respect to a manwhore, to be honest," I mumbled and he let out a gasp Yuji stifling his laugh by burying his face on my hair.

"Noroi, want me to cut your allowance?" He smiles. "Want me to call all the women and gather them so they can plot for your death?" I replied and his smile twitch.

"Want me to tell Megumi that you're going back to your bad habits?" His smile widens. "Want me to tell principal Yaga that Yuji is actually alive?" I smile when his smile fell and shows me the sign of defeat.

"Okay moving along" he coughed changing the subject. "Do you know what happened before you wake up?" He asked pulling a lollipop from his pocket.

"As far as I can remember I was not sick even a slight bit and didn't drink liquor that made me feel my first hangover and throwing up in the toilet" I answered yawning. "I mean before you slept or passed out. After you left me back at the library or the thing you did here on the house" he sighed.

"Well," my brows knitted together and I made myself remember what happened. "What happened after I fall asleep well we're at the garden?" Yuji asked. "Oh," I quietly mumbled now understanding the question.

Is part of my mind still inactive and the other part still processing what just happened to me?

"Eating the ice cream mochi and reading the book" I answered and pursed my lips frowning. "And asked Sukuna about what he knows about the Zenin clan back in his days" I added not adding the part where he managed to take control of Yuji's body.

Because if I said that things will surely be going to be a bit troublesome for us especially for me

"And?" I'm glad Gojo didn't ask anything like how did you ask Sukuna or did he swap or manifest a mouth. "Well," I mumbled and my face scrunched in pain when a sharp pain appeared in my head.

"I think I've fallen asleep after our conversation" I answered massaging my temple. "Can't really remember what happened next. Just close my eyes then just saw myself throwing up that's all" I whispered.

I feel like I went through something but I can't remember and there's no reason for me to tell it to them. Telling it to them will only make them worried.

"How long was I asleep?"

"Too long that darkness has finally taken over the day"

"Just say it's already nighttime" I mumbled looking at the cups. "Does Megumi know what happened to me?" I move away from Yuji and opened the cup to see if it's done.

"Of course not. I don't want to get bombarded by a lot of questions you know?" He scoffs and I grimace when he bites the lollipop, throwing the stick on the trash can.

"You just need to take a rest then tomorrow you'll be good as new!" He grinned getting his cup and mixing it. "Also I told him I dragged you on a two days mission so think what kind of reason you will give to him tomorrow" he chimed.

"Thanks" I whispered. "Sorry for making you two worry" I added and he gave me a smile. "Don't push yourself too much. Learn to take things easy and relax. Enjoy things first, enjoy your youth, Noroi" I nodded my head.

"Ah just don't it again okay?!" Yuji pouted hugging me from behind. "If you know there's something off of your body take a rest immediately before it gets worse okay?" I nodded blowing the noodles.

"I love you" he whispered and I almost choke on my food. "Hmm Noroi, you okay?" I nodded my head coughing. "Yeah" I coughed giving Yuji a side-eye glance glare.

"I love you, honey" he whispered with a soft smile and I clicked my tongue looking away.

"You're blu—"

"It's not blushing my face is turning red from the hotness and spiciness of the food" I scowled eating my noodles. "Is it really from the food or at the boy hugging you?" He snickered and Yuji's face turned red and hid it by burying his face on my shoulder.

"So was it the food or to what he said?" He giggled peeking through his shades and wiggling his eyebrows. "No need to feel shy! But it's cute seeing you shy—" my shadow swallowed us two.

"I love you" he blurted out of nowhere, giving me a smile, and my lip twitches. If I were eating something I probably choke on it again.

"Just let me eat my food in peace. Let's cuddle later. Food comes first" I groaned, carefully drinking the soup. He let out a chuckle and nuzzled his face on my nape and I'm glad he let me eat in silence.


"Welcome back how was the mission?"

"Fine" I mumbled and if I weren't used to lying I probably would have felt guilty for lying too much on him. "Maki-senpai said you can skip training because you're probably tired from the mission" I'm thankful for that because I still feel tired from whatever happened to me yesterday.

Can't really believe I got sick because of stress and fatigue

"You look tired want me to carry you on your dorm?" I nodded my head too lazy to walk back after Gojo just drop me in front of the gates. Crouching down his back facing me I got up to his back, wrapping my arms around his neck.

"You've been busy this past few days. I always noticed how you're always not inside your room. Are you training somewhere?" I hummed nodding my head.

"Please take a rest. If you continue it you might accidentally get yourself sick"

Already got myself but thanks for reminding me that

"Also can I ask a question?" He mumbled and I rested my chin on his shoulder. "Sure" I mumbled back yawning a bit. "How did you managed to exorcise the max elephant?" My eyebrow quirked at that question

"So you're planning to perform the ritual?" He nodded his head. "It did say we can bring someone right?" I nodded my head. "But performing the ritual with others will nullify its technique" I nodded my head.

"I can't really remember it. I actually don't remember much about my childhood" I mumbled drowning a little. "I'm sorry for asking you that" I just wave my hand dismissingly in front of us.

"But a tip for someone who has the max elephant. Go for its trunk first so it will have a hard time shooting water. Don't use Nue because water and electricity are a bad matchup. Because you have totality with you use a sword with both of you attacked it at the same time. One from behind and one from the back immobilized its movements then go straight for the head" he glared at me when I do a slitting action on his neck.

"Also max elephant burns a lot of cursed energy. Good for using enclosed space and a great combination attack with Nue" I yawned. "Thanks for the information" he whispered throwing me up a little bit so he can fix the way he's carrying me because I feel like I was sliding down.

"Want to go to the city after my training?" I hummed nodding my head. "Yeah let's go to the city after your training" I answered letting myself get lullaby by my sleepiness.


"Should I get a haircut?" I asked holding the tip of my hair. "Your hair suits you but cursed spirits are tricky they can use your hair to their advantage so might as well cut it off. But it's your decision whether you're going to cut your hair or not" I hummed letting my hair go.

"I feel like I want to get a tattoo—" I winced when he flickered my forehead. "Let's waste Gojo's money by buying things or eating foods. I saw a dog cafe here somewhere" he sighed dragging me to the dog cafe he saw on the internet.


"Should I dye?"

"What?"

"I mean should I dye my hair?"

"Next time complete your sentence" I deadpanned and sighed. "Sure go color your hair" he whispered pushing the cart. "But I suggest you just go to a hair parlor" I nodded my head taking up his suggestion.

I saw people walking past the window holding crepe in their hands and I suddenly craved for it. I walked out of the store and looked around for crepe stores.

But when I saw a dorayaki stands my objective changed. I changed direction and smile not only seeing a dorayaki stand but also a Dango and taiyaki stand beside it.

"I feel like I forgot about something" I mumbled stuffing my mouth. "Ah, right I forgot to buy a drink. Don't want my cause of death to be choking of food" I walked to the nearest vending machine while eating the Dango.

I munched the food while having a deadpan expression on my face. Eating the last piece of dango in the stick I throw the stick on the person, hitting the back of his hand.

Planting my feet on the ground I rushed into their direction. "Hold this for me will ya?" I mumbled dropping the bag on him and jumped giving the person who I throw the stick a kick on the face.

"Mind helping me warm up a little bit?" I chuckled placing my hand inside my pocket and gave them all a taunting smirk.


"My body feels a little bit light and not stiff anymore after exercising a bit" I whispered stretching my legs. Kicking the toe of my shoes on the pavement I walked in his direction.

"Hey, why is it whenever I go to the city I always see you getting beat up in some dirty alley?" I scowled removing my hands inside my pocket.

"I'm so—"

"Don't bother to apologize to me" I sighed and glanced behind on the laid knocked-out bodies on the ground. "Get up" I ordered and he did what I said. "And follow me" I gestured my head and walked out of this alley.

"Stay here," I told him pointing at the side. Not bothering to listen to what he said I entered the store and took a basket. I went to the drink section and just put whatever drinks my hand will hold. Going to the other aisle I put whatever things in the basket again and went to the counter to pay it all.

"You're bac—" he flinched when I stretched my hand to him. "Take it" he nervously takes it like I said and took a peek inside. "Go home" I yawned turning my back on him. "T-Thank you again!" I pulled my phone out of my pocket and searched for it.

"Noroi!" I hummed and looked to the side, Megumi almost tackling me down on the ground. "Where were you?! You suddenly disappeared!" He hissed doing a chokehold on me. "I just went out to buy something to eat!" I groaned.

"Really, Noroi?! Really?!" He sarcastically asked letting me go. "Then how can you explain that?" He points something down at us and I looked down.

Raising my head to face him my expression was neutral while he was raising an eyebrow at me. "How can you explain the blood in your white sneakers?" He scowled crossing his arms.

"How sure are you that it's blood and not some paint splatter from somewhere?" I replied with a calm tone. "Hey!" We all looked to the other side and saw a man. "Can someone call an ambulance?! There are beat-up teenagers here!" He shouted with a frantic worried look.

"One of them regained consciousness and said they were beaten up by a girl!" I can feel the glares piercing the side of my skull and taking one deep breath I run away.

"Noroi, get back here!"


"Megumi, who's corpse are you dragging with you?" I raised my hand and lazily waved my hand to them. "It looks like she has a lot of energy now. It's unfair if she slacks training" he told them letting go of my ankle. Sitting up I patted the back of my shirt.

"Where were you two this afternoon?"

"City. Took lunch in the city" we answered. "You two don't go to the city without me!" Nobara hissed throwing us two a glare. Panda placed his hand under my arms and lifted me and I mumbled a small thanks to him.

"Okay, let's start the training— where's Toge?"

"Tuna Tuna" Inumaki came running down the stairs carrying something in his hands. "What's that?" They all asked and when he opened it it was rice balls.


"What is this?"

"Its food you ungrateful—"

"I know it's food but what kind of food this is?"

" Rice balls"

"You call these rice balls?"

"Despite how disastrous it looks it tastes exquisite"

"I'm glad you like it"

Megumi gave her sister a worried look when she holds her head. "Hey, are you okay?" He whispered. He was worried she might have hit something while he drags her by her ankle all the way to the courtyard.

"Just summer heat is annoying" Noroi whispered wincing. "This is why you shouldn't always stay inside your room" he scolded and Noroi rolled her eyes on him.

"Inumaki-senpai" Inumaki nervously shifted on his place when she called his name. He glanced at her and got nervous seeing her sharp gaze.

"Did you make that rice balls?"

"Salmon. Tuna Mayo?" 'Do you want one?' He just wants to hide behind Panda when Noroi just stared at him.

"Yes please" the others will be honest that they are confused about her behavior right now. Noroi accepted the rice balls from his hand and took a bite.

They are shocked when her expression turned soft then downcast before going to its usual blank expression.

"Inumaki-senpai, can you teach me how to make rice balls?" Inumaki blinked his eye and process that question and when he finally processed it he nodded his head enthusiastically.

"Okay change of plans" Maki sighed. "Let's train tomorrow and help Noroi make rice balls" they cheered except for the siblings.

"GET THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER!"

"THROW SOME SALT!"

"THAT'S NOT A SPIRIT!"

"WATER! WATER IT! DOSE IT OFF WITH WATER!"

"WHERE DID EVEN THAT FIRE COME FROM?!"

Noroi is silent, eating the rice balls and watching them extinguish the fire on the side.


Noroi who' got herself surveillance by Megumi by getting herself on a fight managed to safely sneak out of the school by of course always using her shadow. And of course, she made sure she left a dummy on her bed so just in case he paid her a visit he won't find out she actually sneaked out.

But if he did find out well she already expected a scolding from him.

Noroi appeared in the living room and walked to the basement. Hearing the rustling sound of chains and the something getting punched she knows Yuji was training and she was right. Arriving at his place he was punching and kicking the sandbag.

"Yuji" the boy quickly whipped his head in her direction and gave her a wide smile. "Roi!" Yuji happily called her name and run in her direction.

"What's that?" He didn't hug her because he was drenched in sweat. "I already eat dinner with the others. How about you? Have you already eaten yours?" She placed the container on the table and took the towel hanging on the back of the seats.

"Stocks run out and Gojo-sensei said he'll buy take-out foods for us" Yuji answered accepting the towel from her and wiping his sweats. "Also I miss you!" He hugged her and swayed their body on the side.

"We always see each other every day" Noroi sighed. "Also let me go you stink" Yuji winced when she harshly elbowed his stomach. "I just sweat a little but I don't stink!" He defended and held his shirt raising it and sniffing it.

"See I don't stink!" Noroi rolled her eyes at him. "By the way, you haven't answered my question on what that is" he uses his lips to point to the box she placed on the table.

"Open it and see for yourself" she answered sitting on the chair and pulling her phone out. Yuji hang the towel on his shoulder and opened the container.

"What's this?" He frowned looking at her. "Can't you tell what it is?" Noroi looked at him and gave Yuji a flat look. "Uh no?" She pursed her lips and sighed.

"It's rice balls" she answered. "And I made them" his eyes turned wide. "Eh, really you made them?!" Noroi nodded her head. "It's fine if you eat it because of how horrible it lo—" Yuji took the box and hugged it.

"Who said I won't eat it even if it looks terrible?!" Noroi deadpanned at his comment but shrugged it off knowing how terrible it looks like. Yuji took a seat beside her and placed the box on the table carefully taking a triangular terrible-looking rice ball.

"How was it?" She asked controlling her emotions, making sure they won't show off on him. "Hmm," Yuji hummed and took another bite till he finished the piece.

"Delicious! Good job on making your first food, Roi!" He smiled and Noroi sighed in relief. "I'm glad you like it, Honey" she smiles and Yuji feels his face heating up.

"Be thankful I don't have anything in my mouth right now if I have I probably choke on it or spit it out!" He huff giving her a pout taking another piece from the box.

"Payback for last night" Noroi scoff rolling her eyes on him. Her eyes dropped to the onigiri's and for some reason she glanced at him, her eyes looking at the scar under his eyes.

"What?" Sukuna manifested a mouth, his eyes glaring at her. Noroi continues to stare at him and he felt a tiny bit uncomfortable from her stare and was about to go away when she spoke.

"Would you like one?" Sukuna was shocked, so shocked it took him a minute to process the information. "Yeah" Yuji raised an eyebrow at how quiet his reply is but choose not to comment about it because it will only start a new argument between them.

Sukuna transferred his mouth at the back of his palm and Yuji rested his elbow on the elbow hands raised. Noroi carefully took a piece and feed him.

"Can't believe you call this rice balls" he grimaced accepting the food. "Hey be grateful she even offered you food!" Yuji scoffs.

"Even though it looks terrible it tastes nice" he grumbles taking another bite. "I'm glad you like it—" Sukuna saw how she froze and his eyes narrowed at her.

"Roi, you okay?" Yuji worriedly asked when her hand massage her temple. "Yeah just got myself zoned out" Noroi sighed taking another piece from the box.

"You" Noroi hummed and looked at his eye while feeding the mouth. "Don't you remember what happened yesterday?" She can tell he was frowning the way how his eyes narrowed at her. "I fell asleep after our conversation ended right?" Noroi answered.

"Do you remember anything after you fell asleep?"

"Sukuna, you sound suspicious right now"

"Shut up, brat. Just quietly eat there while listening to our conversation" he growled looking back at her. "Do you remember anything or not?" Noroi's eyebrow rose.

"Is it even possible to remember something while you sleep?" She confusingly answered and Yuji nodded his head. "Well, the only thing we can remember is dreams right?" Yuji asked and Noroi nodded her head.

"Well it's not like everyone can dream of something while they're sleeping" she mumbled, face scrunching to a frown. "Also not everyone can remember their dreams once they woke up" she added taking another piece.

"So did you have a dream or not yesterday? Seeing how you soundly sleep tell us you had a nice dream" Sukuna snickered and Noroi glared at him after he almost bites her fingers.

"Judging that I turned sick because of fatigue and stress I can tell they work me up but I didn't wake up. That means I wasn't sleeping but got knocked out, suddenly passing out" she explained carefully splitting the onigiri, eating the other half while giving the other half to him.

"So you didn't dream of something, Roi?" Noroi face scrunched like she was thinking about it, Sukuna has his eyes glued to her, chewing the food.

"I don't know. I can't remember a thing— wait" the boy's eyes narrowed at her. "Nope can't really remember a thing other than having a conversation with Sukuna" Noroi mumbled narrowing his eyes on Sukuna.

"Why are you even asking me that, to begin with?" The king of curses scoffs at her loudly. "Just making sure I was still talking to the same person" Noroi scoff back at him. "Should be the one saying that to you" both of them rolled their eyes at each other.

Eating the snack she made was peaceful, with no threats being dropped. Noroi watched Yuji and Sukuna bicker with each other after they were no onigiri. Both bickering who ate the most between them.

Then suddenly she saw someone... A young version... A child who also possesses pink-colored hair after staring too much at Yuji.

"I'm back! Hey, what did you two eat while I was away?!" Noroi moved her head to the entrance and frowned.

She saw a person... That has white hair but there was something of which she didn't manage to figure out because she snapped out from her thoughts due to his loud whining voice.

"Hey did you eat something delicious while I was out?!" Gojo cried. "Yep!" Yuji grinned. "Noroi, I thought were food buddies?! How dare you betray me!" She rolled her eyes at him. "Stop being so dramatic and place the foods already" she ordered standing up from her seat.

"I'll be upstairs just call me two when you're done" Sukuna keep his eyes and full attention to her when he felt something off. "Hey, don't go eating all the desserts on the fridge okay?!" Gojo reminded.

"You shouldn't have mentioned that to me" she mumbled. "Argh! Save some for me!" Noroi nodded her head and walked away.

Sukuna frown and tapped his nails on the skulls. His head is filled with thoughts... Never-ending thoughts, that made the skull break in his hands. He grimaced at the mess he made and flickered his hand to remove the residue.

"This is so infuriating... It's making me sick and I hate it" he gritted his teeth, the domain slightly shaking. "Through our heaven and earth, I alone am the honored one... Only pleasure and displeasure exist for me" Sukuna's eyes glared at the horizon inside his domain.

Two people flashed through his mind, but another person appeared that made his domain shake violently.

"And I hate how I am feeling emotions again"
