Two ran, jumping over obstacles and dodging branches.
"Two come back!" he heard Eight call.
The tears on his face were drying in the wind. He picked up his pace to the point it felt like he was flying.
Mainly because he was.
Noticing that he activated his rays, Two went as fast as he could go, trying to put as much distance between him and the others as possible.
'Who would want me back?' he thought bitterly, 'I messed everything up.'
Four was good friend to him throughout the years, and for such a great relationship to end the way it did, it was almost too much for Two to bear.
Four would be drowning in sorrow right now and here he is running away. What a friend.
However, unbeknownst to Two, he was heading for a huge cliff.
Five gasped and tried to yell for Two to slow down, but he had been tuning out her pleas for him to stop.
"He's heading for that cliff!"
"I see that Eight! We need to call him somehow!"
"He's not slowing down!'
"I see that Eight!"
"That's a very high cliff, and there's some rocks at the bottom!"
"I see that Eight!... Wait.. how did you know that there's rocks down there?"
"Uh, Fourteen fell down there before."
"How did he manage to-"
"Two! Stop! There's a cliff!"
Five just sighed, facepalming.
"Come on Five! We need to warn him!"
Double facepalming.
Two suddenly looked down and noticed the ground sloping downwards. Seeing the cliff, he tried to stop, but it sent him flying off the edge.
His entire lifetime played in his mind, rushing past him as he desperately attempted to hold on to memories long gone.
He felt himself
Falling.
Falling...
Falling.....
Then, a sharp pull on his arm, and his entire body soon came in contact with the ground once more.
Thinking he hit the bottom of the cliff, Two looked up, only to be met with the worried faces of Five and Eight.
"Two! Don't scare us like that again!"
"Wh.. how?.."
"You fell off the cliff, and then Thirt-"
"-Don't say it!"
"Ten and Three, grabbed you and threw you back up."
"What were you even doing on the side of the cliff anyway?"
"Uh, I fell down, and then I was climbing up, then Two fell off the edge and I grabbed him, and you know what happens next."
"Right.." Five decided.
The sound of Two whimpering caught her attention.
"What's wrong?"
"You should be helping Four.. I ran away...like a coward.. Four deserves better..."
"Uh," Thirteen looked between the other two numbers, "Something I missed?"
Two just gave a strangled gasp, and cried.
Cried for Four.
Cried for help.
Cried for the sake of getting it all out.
He was the worst friend ever.
