Sixteen woke up so suddenly that she wasn't sure she was awake.

"Wusgoinon?.." She mumbled, her words slurring together.

She also felt a little cold, looking down over the side of her bed, she saw a nothing but huge waves of dark clouds rolling on the ground.

"Uh..." Sixteen hurried and jumped off her bed and held on to the banister, "I think someone took 'the floor is lava' too far.."

Climbing on, she looked down too see the bed engulfed in darkness.

"Too bad for them, I'm the champion of that game! Take that.. uh.. lava clouds!"

Just as she was about to swing onto the other one, a tendril shot from the murky depths of the ground and smashed it to pieces.

"Oh.. they're smart clouds.."

Sixteen shook it off and got ready to leap to the one after that.

"You got this Sixteen. You got this.."

She jumped down from the banister she was standing on, grabbing onto the edges and swinging herself over the darkness and managing to grab hold of the other.

"Yes!" She snorted, "Now, out the door, or the window?"

Sixteen thought for a moment.

"If I go out the door, I wouldn't have anything to hold on to.. but, if I jump out the window, that'll be a long fall.... So the window it is!"

She hurriedly fiddled with the lock until she heard the long awaited click, taking a deep breath, she hurled herself out of the room, landing in a blocky heap on the ground.

"Ouch.."

"Sixteen?"

The aftermentioned number looked up to see Twenty-four, looking quite frazzled.

"Twenty-four! What happened?"

"You tell me."

All of Numberland's houses seemed devoid of any residents, streetlamps were bent out, and a thick black cloud hovered over the place, making it hard to see even past a foot in front of her.

"Oh, where are the others? How come only I made it through the game?"

"Game?"

"Yeah, 'the floor is lava'."

Twenty-four sighed, "It isn't a game! The others are all gone to the emergency meeting point!"

"What's the emergency meeting point?"

"I dunno.."

A low growl sounded from the cloud, making Twenty-four whimper and take off, leaving Sixteen alone.

"Wait! You didn't tell me where the meeting point was! Twenty-four! Twenty-four!"

Sixteen backed away from the darkness circling her ominously.

She then turned on her leg and ran as fast as possible, not noticing the tentacle in front, when she got close enough, it wrapped around her leg, stopping her from running.

"Arg, c'mon, I need to break free.." She snorted again, trying in vain to rip the cold grip off of her, "Get. Off. You. Blasted. Cloud."

That felt weird saying.

But her attempts were futile, and she was swarmed by them being pulled and yanked this way and that.

"That is no way to treat a lady."

Sixteen's semi-sentient attackers dropped her on the ground and lunged angrily for the block that threw a cane at them.

Twenty stepped backwards.

"Nice clouds?.."

They weren't so nice.

Twenty yelped and ducked back into his house, watching in fear as the door was soon being pounded on mercilessly.

Sixteen looked down to spot a flashlight, laying abandoned on the ground as if somebody had dropped it.

She soon found out why, the electric torch had died, so she did what any logical square in that situation would do.

Punch it until it starts working.

She only faltered in her hits when she saw a flicker.

"There! Hey you!" The party square yelled to the incredibly raging darkness, "Take light!"

She chucked the object at it, effectively scaring it off.

Twenty sighed in relief and went to the back to get something.

"Twenty?"

"Thank you Sixteen." He stated as he lit up the lantern he had, "I wouldn't made it through that without your help."

"I wouldn't have been able to help you without your help! Thank you!"

Twenty giggled despite the situation and scenery.

"Now what?"

"We go to the emergency meeting point!"

"Okay, then let's go!"
