(As much as I love 14 as a character, his slang terms really had me looking for a skater-lingo dictionary. *Epically facepalms*)

As Twelve sat on the couch with a shaking Eighteen, the rest of the slightly beaten blocks talked about their problem.

"I dunno dude, I don't wanna leave Five up there alone like that, mainly 'cause the darkness high-key knows our hiding spot and low-key knows how to get in."

Eight sat down again, frustrated.

"I know, but can you think of a better plan?"

"No, but I'm extremely not all in with bailing on a friend, it's just not how we skaters roll."

"We're not safe with her here though!"

"I'm not letting you throw her out. Bogus is what that is!"

Seven shook his head from the corner of the room, he was holding Five as she slept, cringing when she mumbled for help in her dreams.

"Seven?" Thirteen joined him, laying a plate of cookies down, "I-Is she okay?"

"Yeah.. I can imagine what she's going through, I've been there.."

He took a deep breath, "It's lonely.."

Thirteen nodded silently and cautiously laid a hand on the blue number's side in support, leaning against the wall.

"I can't wait for this to be over.."

"Me too.. Imagine how everyone else feels."

Seven sighed and shifted, looking over to Twenty, who was completely immersed with his array display, messing with the hologram blocks as if he was trying to tear his focus away from everything else.

"Twenty really needs a break too, he hasn't danced in a long time."

Five's eyes snapped open all of a sudden.

"Seven?"

"Oh, Five! You're.... okay?" The lucky let her stand.

Five brushed herself off, catching sight of Thirteen.

"You're fixed too?"

"Fixed?"

"The darkness isn't in me anymore. So is it in you?"

Thirteen shrugged, "I don't feel it."

Eight, who was hovering over the both of them ready to attack, stepped away and cleared his throat.

"So.. If neither of you have it, who does?"

Seven thought, "I think I have it back, Eighteen beat the mess out of you, defeating it."

"Just like Twenty-seven.."

Everyone (sans Twelve for obvious reasons) looked to the tango dancer that had spoken.

"Twenty-eight defeated it too, that went back to you. So if Eighteen did the same, only physically, the darkness must've returned as well. That's why none of us got it when we brought her back here."

Shocked looks all around.

"So.. am I the only dude who didn't catch his drift?..."

"No, I didn't get any of it." Thirteen whispered over.

"Oh, good."

Twenty stopped messing with his watch, "I think it's about time we start looking for ways to defeat it once and for all, our light house can keep the cloud away, but we're powerless to stop it from controlling our friends. So, does anybody have any clues?"
