Avi POV
*A month later*
Boy, have things changed for us! Scott and Mitch found a house a few blocks away from us, so they hopefully won't be strangers. They moved a few weeks ago, which means that our house is finally our house. Kirstie and I are in the bathroom, and I'm stroking her bump from behind her, which is still not that noticeable. She is 12 weeks along, and hasn't had any morning sickness this time. It has been the best thing. The kids are at pre-school right now, and Kirstie's mom is going to pick them up. We're getting ready to do a photoshoot for our pregnancy announcement. We want to do something fun. We wanted to get the kids involved, but we haven't told them. We found out we're having one baby and not multiple, which is FANTASTIC! We're in the process of converting our basement to an in-home studio so we can record here.
"What do you think it is? A boy or girl?" I start kissing her neck.
Kirstie looks back at me, "I think a girl. Hey, we have to get ready. We don't have time for this." She starts to give in, and turns around to kiss me. I lift her onto the bathroom counter, and we makeout for at least 5 minutes. When I start on her neck, she starts to feel something in her uterus...the baby moving. She puts one of her hands on her stomach, and one in my hair. I come back to her lips. "As...much...as...I love...where...this is....headed", she says.
"After the photoshoot, but before we go to your mom's." I say in between kisses.
"Deal." I kiss her before getting ready. I'm wearing a white dress shirt with a leather jacket over it with Converse and dark wash jeans. Kirstie is wearing a pink bodysuit and a black skirt with nude wedges, neutral makeup and a red lip. We decided on doing our shoot outside in our backyard. We made a letterboard that says:

I look at the time: 2:30p. I go to Kirstie, who is sitting on the couch, and kiss her. She starts to get into it. Just as we start to get hot and heavy, she gets a message on her phone. *Jimmy Kimmel Tonight*. Kirstie looks at her phone as I'm kissing her neck. She gets a text from Ben saying to get to the studio at 4:00 for soundcheck. "Babe, as much as I'm loving this, we have to get going! We have JKL tonight." I get up off of her, and she gets her stuff together and goes to the car. By the time we get to the JKL studio, it's 3:45. We go in and meet with the segment producer, Jeannie, and she asks us some questions about our life. Afterwards,we meet up with Ben, who has tuned my guitar, and we head to the stage, sit and soundcheck our song. By the time we're done, we meet the man himself, Jimmy Kimmel. It is an honor and a pleasure to meet him of course! Ben introduces us, of course. We talk, and then head to the dressing room.
"Avi, I'm scared." We sit on the couch.
"Kirstie, you can do this!"
"What if he asks about our kids? Should we announce it?"
I look at her. "I don't see why not. We were about to announce it anyway." I kiss her, and lay her down on the couch. Of course, as we're getting into it, we hear a knock on the door. We sat up, and I put my arm around her. "Come in!"
In comes Scott and Mitch with the kids, and of course our parents. Mitch comes up to Kirstie, "Ok I brought you guys some outfits and I don't know what you'll think of them."

He shows her a beige dress with a deep V neck and pink roses on it and my nude heels

He shows her a beige dress with a deep V neck and pink roses on it and my nude heels. Meanwhile, for me, he brought me a white t-shirt with a black blazer, with dark skinny jeans, and of course, my converse. They also brought our dragon necklaces.
"Perfect!" Kirstie says, while changing into her outfit.
We rehearsed backstage again, and we got into position to go out for our interview.
Jimmy Kimmel says, "And for their first interview together on late night TV, please welcome Kirstin Maldonado and Avi Kaplan." We go out, wave at the audience, and the first thing Kirstie does is double kiss Jimmy's cheek. She sits on the couch closest to the stage, while I sit right next to her. Jimmy sits down, "Well guys I'm so lucky to have you here today."
"You have no idea how happy we are to be here!" says Kirstie, while I put my hand on her thigh.
"Well, Kirstie, how long have you and Avi been together?"
"Well," Kirstie looks at me, "we have been together for 6 years. We have two kids, Chase and Blair. And we actually are proud to announce we have another one on the way!" She touches her little bump.
The audience claps and cheers. "Well congrats, guys! And also congrats on your wedding."
"Thank you so much" Kirstie says, while the audience is applauding. Once they die down, "Yeah it was magical. We got married in Hawaii at our house there. Just family and some of our friends."
"That's great!" Jimmy says. "Avi, I have to say as we're talking, you are playing the supportive husband role very well."
"Well", I say, "We're just so excited to have new music out and for everything coming up. And it's crazy to me that you asked us to be here today."
Jimmy asks, "What was the inspiration behind this new music?"
I look at Kirstie, "Well, when we started dating 6 years ago, I noticed how beautiful Kirstie's singing voice was, and songwriting was always a passion of mine since I was a teenager. So I picked up a guitar and started writing songs for her. I put them in this book, and once she was ready to really give this a shot, we broke them out."
"Well your first single is a cover of "Gravity" by Sara Barielles. What made you release that rather than an original?"
Kirstie looks at me then at Jimmy, "Well that song has always been a place of comfort for me. I love Sara, and her music. I think she's extraordinary. It's also the first song I ever sang with Avi, so it was kind of perfect."
"Well, they're going to perform that cover right after the break. Don't go away, 'cause we'll be right back." And we're on a commercial break so Kirstie and I go to set up with the guitar. As I'm tuning the guitar. I'm remembering the story I just told, and start smiling. Once I'm done, I put the guitar down, and kiss Kirstie.
Kirstie looks at me, surprised. "What was that for, baby?"
"I love you."
She smiles, "I love you too baby" She kisses me one more time before getting handed a mic and we both get a set of in-ear monitors. The camera people are counting Jimmy off out of the commercial break, "Welcome back. Now to perform "Gravity", here are Kirstin Maldonado and Avi Kaplan." the audience claps and we start playing.

Jimmy comes over to us and gives us both a hug. "That was beautiful. You can listen to this where you get your music. Kirstin Maldonado and Avi Kaplan everyone. We'll see you tomorrow night." Jimmy turns to us directly, "Thank you so much for coming on and sharing this. It was truly beautiful." We thank him, and head backstage.
Our parents pull us aside. Kirstie's mom says, "Were you serious? Are you really pregnant again?"
We nod, and Kirstie says, "Yes you're going to be grandparents again!" They pull us in for a hug. "Chase and Blair come here, guys." They come walking over. "Sleepover at Grammy's house?" They nod. "By the way, do you know what's in Mommy's belly?"
Blair says, "Chocolate?"
"Not exactly. There is a baby in there. You're going to be a big sister and a big brother."
Kirstie's mom comes to the realization that it's why Kirstie has been gaining weight. "Mom, what's wrong?"
"No, I thought you were just getting thicker. I don't know why it didn't register. Either way I'm so happy for you guys!"
Kirstie and I look at each other. "We've been celebrating for a while."
My dad pipes in, "Wait how long have you known?"
I respond, "3 months. We found out we were pregnant really early with this one."
"How early?"
Kirstie responds, "The wedding." We celebrate a bit more, and then Kirstie and I head back to the house. "Finally we're alone." As we get inside, clothes are starting to come off and I pick her up, bridal style." She kicks off her heels, and throws her arms around my neck. I walk us upstairs to the bedroom. I lay Kirstie down on the bed while still kissing her, making my way down her body helping her take off her beautiful dress. I slide the dress down her body to reveal the most beautiful pregnant body I've ever seen. She flips us over. "Your turn." My shirt was already off, so she started kissing my body and once she got to my pants she undid them and slid everything down. You can probably imagine the actions that took place that night.
Afterwards, we sat in bed, snuggled up in each other's arms. Kirstie looks at me. "We just did our first talk show", she says to me.
"I know, baby! How did you feel about it?"
"I felt really good about it." she says to me. "At least we don't have to hide anymore. The pregnancy."
"True. I meant to ask you something. Do you want this baby to be a surprise, or do you want to do a gender reveal again?"
She thinks about it for a few minutes. "I don't know. What do you want?"
"I'm thinking we could have a surprise this time. What do you think?"
"I think it could be fun. So we're having a surprise!"
I nod. "This is it for a while though or just in general."
"Definitely. It's hard with just the two. I can only imagine how this one will change things!"
"For the better!" I kiss her passionately.
