Chapter 16

Kirstie POV
*Several hours ago*
So Avi is making dinner while I'm sitting on the couch watching our Christmas special. My bag is all packed ready to go. My stomach has dropped a ton. Oh and did I mention I was due like a week ago. He's an excellent cook, especially of BBQ. The past few days, I've been getting some contractions, but nothing that severe. So Avi has resulted to taking care of me. Plus, our doctor told me to go on bedrest. "Babe?"
"Yeah" I look at at Avi.
"How are you feeling?"
"Well, I have two humans inside me. I feel like a blimp." I continue while getting up. "I just want these guys to come already." I put my hands on my bump and walk over to Avi.
"I know, but they're not ready yet." He puts on of his hands on my bump and one of them on my cheek to kiss me.
While he's kissing me, I manage to sit on top of the table. Avi starts to kiss my neck while caressing my bump. "Kirstie, I need you." I feel a contraction come on, but try to make my noises sound at least somewhat sexy. He starts to take down my panties. He had already taken down his pants so I pulled down his boxers. Avi starts to kiss all over my body, but I start to rub on him. I have never wanted anyone so much in my life. He wanted more than anything for me to show him how much I love him. However I can't do that until I have these babies out of my body. I'm standing up at this point. They've been taking over my body for at least the last 6 months. Just then I start to feel a gush running down my leg.
"Avi, my water just broke." I say starting to smile.
He starts to smile back at me. "This is really happening." He kisses me, but I start to feel a really bad contraction. "OWWW!!!" Avi grabs my bag, and we head to the car to go to the hospital.

*Present day*
So it's been about 8 hours since I got here to the hospital, and my contractions have been BRUTAL!! They've been about 5 minutes apart last about 30 seconds each. I'm only 2 centimeters dilated. I don't wish this experience upon anyone, especially people with triplets. I'm kinda happy I'm going through this my best friend. Avi went out to call some people, mainly my parents, Scomiche and Kevin and Alyssa. He also went to ask about the visitation policy while in the labor process. Avi come back in. "So they're on the way. And I talked to the nurse on duty and anyone can come in while you're in labor, but the birth plan goes into effect when you're ready to push." My birth plan, if doing naturally, involves Avi (obviously), Mitch, and my mom (who is about 5 months along in her pregnancy). If I have a C-section, I want Avi in there with me. I have no worries about what will happen because I'm going to have two little bundles of joy. "OK, babe. Will you give me an ice chip?" "Yeah" He gives me an ice chip and then rubs my lower back. "Ooh that's the spot." With that, Scomiche come in the room.
"Hey guys," says Scott, "Kirstie how you feeling?"
"OK. My contractions are about every 5 minutes. I just wanna meet them to be completely honest." With that being said, I start to feel one come on, but the Avi is massaging my back is making not as painful. Mitchie starts to give me ice chips and says, "Do you know what you're going to name them?"
I look at Avi, who is just laying next to me. "Umm... well we haven't decided."
Avi says, "Yeah, I just wanna see them and make sure the name is right. You know what I mean?"
Scott chimes, "It makes complete sense."

Avi POV
As Kirstie is talking to Scomiche, all I can think about is how much this pregnancy has affected Kirstie. She had a lot of complications, but overall a normal pregnancy. With that being said, Kevin comes in. "Alyssa had to go the restroom. She'll be right here. Any babies here yet?"
I look at him. "Not yet." I walk over to Kirstie. "Hey I'm going to take a walk. I'll be right back." Kevin says, "Hey do you mind if I take a walk with you and keep you company?"
I shake my head, "No i don't mind the company." I go over to Kirstie. "Are you going to be ok?" Kirstie responded, "I'm going to be fine. If I need anything, the boys are here."
She smiles and I kiss her. "I love you so much babe."
I responded, "I love you too," and left with Kevin.
We went outside. "Kevin, I don't know if I could put her through this again."
Kevin looks at Avi, "What are you talking about?"
"Just everything that has happened over the last 9 months. She's had a lot of complications with this pregnancy. I know she probably wants more kids in the future but I don't know if I want to put her through this stuff again, you know?" I sit on the bench and put my head in my hands.
Kevin rubs his back. "Well, that's why there are other ways to have other kids. You can always have a surrogate or adopt."
"True. I just don't know how she would feel about that. I just think it's something that we'll have to talk about."
I grab my phone from my pocket. "Scott texted me that Kirstie is 4 centimeters dilated. That's good right?"
Kevin nods his head. "That's great Avi! It means she's moving along."
I nod my head. "OK. How are you and Alyssa?"
Kevin smiles, "We're good. Really good actually."
Avi smiles. "If she breaks your heart, I'll break her."
Kevin laughs, "Let's go back"
When we get back to the room, I go right over to Kirstie. "How you doing babe?"
"Feeling a little uncomfortable. I'm 4 centimeters dilated."
"That's good."

***Several hours have passed***

Kirstie is 9 centimeters dilated. Her contractions are about a minute long every 2 minutes. Her doctor comes back in the room.
"Alright Missy, how are we feeling?"
Kirstie looks at me during another contraction. "Ok. OWWWW!!"
Once the contraction is over, the doctor checks me out. "You're at 10 centimeters, my dear. Let me see what it's looking like down here." He sits in his chair and looks. "Alright, give me a minute and we'll get started. On the next contraction, If you feel like you should push, go ahead."
"Really?" I comfort Kirstie. You have no idea how much she has been hurting. "As per the birth plan, i need Avi Mitch and Angelica to stay. Everyone else clear out!!"

After a while, two new humans are brought in to the world!
