Chapter 15

Kevin POV

"Come on Kevin we're going to be late." Alyssa says while pulling me out of her house.

"I'm coming hang on." I say with a laugh. She looks back at me and smiles.

"Sorry. I'm just excited we haven't had a date in a while." She say's and I pull her into my chest.

"I know and I'm sorry about that. It's been crazy at the house these past few weeks." I explain while kissing her forehead.

"I know, it's not your fault. Yall are just helping Kirstie and Avi, which is really sweet of you. I'm just glad that I get you now." I smile, and we continue walking to our date.

Tonight, I am surprising Alyssa with an early birthday gift while we are out on our date. "You look beautiful by the way." I say while twirling her.

"Thank you, Babe. You look very handsome tonight."

Alyssa POV

We walk into the restaurant and I immediately notice that there is no one else here. "What's going on Kevin?" I ask while looking over at him.

"Happy early birthday Babe." He says with a huge smile.

"Aww Kevin, thank you!" I say while pulling him into a tight hug. "This place looks amazing." The restraint is decorated with red roses and baby's breath with tons of candles.

"I knew that your favorite flowers were red roses and baby's breath, so I asked the to decorate the place with them." He tells me.

"Kevin this must have cost a fortune."

"Nothing is to much for my girl especially on her special day." I can't help but smile even more. This man means the whole world to me and he doesn't even realize it.

After dinner Kevin and I decided to take a walk around the near by park. "Look at the turtle." Kevin says while pointing over to the pond. We walk out onto the dock and I look out into the water.

"Where is the turtle I don't see anything." I say while squinting. Kevin doesn't say anything, so I turn around. When I turn around I am completely shocked. Kevin is holding out a small velvet box and had a nervous look on his face.

"Before you freak out this isn't an engagement ring. It's a promise ring." He says while opening the lid. "Alyssa, you are the most beautiful girl I know and by some strange luck I have gotten to know you over the past months. In those months I have learned that I want to spend forever learning more about you. I have been thinking over this the past few weeks and I decided that an engagement would be jumping into things fast, so I decided to get you this ring. This ring is a symbol of my promise to you that I will stick with you till thick and thin. To spend everyday learning more about you until we are both ready to turn this ring into and engagement ring. So, Alyssa Smith will you accept my promise?" I quick nod my head.

"Oh my gosh Kevin of course I do!" I yell before jumping into his arms.

"I love you." He whispers in my ear.

"I love you too." I say while pulling back some to bring him into a kiss. We pull away and he places the ring on my figure. It is absolutely beautiful, it has a small diamond shaped like a heart with a simple silver band.

"I had Kirstie help me pick it out. We found a set, of course that one is yours then this one is mine." Kevin says while pulling another ring out of his pocket. His ring is also silver with a hear cut out with the words 'Endless Love' carved into it.

"I love them." I say while kissing his cheek. He interlaces our figures and we make our way back towards my apartment.

"Tonight, was amazing. Thank you for taking me out."

"It was no problem baby girl. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself." I kiss him goodnight before walking inside

Kevin POV

I watch as Alyssa walks inside I can can't help but smile. I love that girl more than anything. While on my way back to the house I try to picture what my life would be if I never quite the agency. I never would be able to be with Alyssa, Avi and Kirst would probably live on separate sides of the country. On my way home, I get a call from Scott.

"Hey Scooter, what's up?"

"Get to the hospital now! Kirstie is in labor."

"On my way." I say before hanging up. Thankfully I'm not to far from Alyssa's so I run back to her house.

"Kevin wat's wrong?

"No time to talk Kirstie is in labor, let's go." She nods before grabbing her purse and keys.

"Please let Kirstie be ok." I whisper to myself.
