Jim turned to the next page on his script. Jim could proudly say he had yet to miss a rehearsal. Unlike last time.

It had been a few weeks since Toby had officially taken the mantle of the Trollhunter and things were going well. Time and luck seemed to be on Toby's side since Strickler had yet to figure out who the new Trollhunter was therefore Toby had more time to train before fighting Bular.

Jim thought he was doing pretty well for moral support though Toby barely needed it. Toby didn't try to reject the amulet as he did in the past. But there still were some moments of doubt that Jim helped push him through.

Toby was currently training in Trollmarket. Jim realized that he wasn't quite ready to see old faces of friends he once lost so he was doing his best to keep away from Trollmarket and only went there if Toby specifically asked for him. He had seen glimpses of Draal and Vendel but they hadn't even made eye contact yet.

Right now, Jim was listening to Claire act out Juliet's lines. They had grown closer sooner than they did in the past, probably on the account that Jim wasn't a total flake this time around. Claire finished her lines and Jim easily said his. After all, he had already memorized them.

"Excellent delivery on those lines you two!" Mrs. Janeth complimented. Jim and Claire both smiled happily.

"Thank you, Mrs. Janeth!" Claire responded.

"Why don't you two have a break, you've done excellent work today! Eli let's work on your lines!" Mrs. Janeth ordered.

Jim and Claire hopped off the stage and moved to the back of the auditorium so they could talk without disturbing the others.

"Great job today, Claire," Jim smiled.

"Thank you, you didn't do too bad yourself!" Claire responded.

"I try."

They watched Eli practice for a while before Claire suddenly spoke up.

"You know, for some reason, I didn't think you'd actually make every play practice, I was kinda expecting you to miss most of them but I stand corrected. Thank you by the way, for not being a total flake, I don't know why I thought you were before," Claire smiled sheepishly.

Well that was...odd. But Jim shrugged it off. She couldn't remember. That was impossible.

"Yeah, no problem. I know this play is important to you," Jim shrugged, smiling. A sense of satisfaction came to Jim when she blushed.

"Claire! Jim!" Mrs. Janeth called out. "You two are free to leave if you so desire. I'm going to work with Eli for the rest of the duration and I don't want to keep you here if I won't need you."

"Thank you, Mrs. Janeth," Jim responded, picking up and slinging his bag over his shoulder. "I'll see you tomorrow!"

Jim left the auditorium with Claire walking behind him. The school was quiet and empty. Jim was happy walking next to Claire. It was a shame that she didn't remember anything. He desperately wanted to kiss her but that would be perverted at this moment in time. After all, he was the only one who remembered their relationship. Jim sighed sadly to himself, sometimes being the only one who remembered the future sucked. But he didn't regret it for a second. Toby was alive and so were many others.

"Is something the matter?" Claire asked curiously. Jim stood straighter.

"Oh. Nothing is wrong. I'm just thinking, you know?" Jim smiled, Claire nodded.

"Thinking about anything in particular?" She asked.

Yes.

"Nope, not really."
