The Battle of A Thousand Changelings

"Watch out!" Jim exclaimed, pushing Steve to the ground as a knife flew overhead. Steve let out a very Steve scream.

"Everyone follow me!" Toby yelled, running away from the oncoming changelings. The whole group began running.

"What do we do, Jim?" Claire asked.

"We need to evacuate Trollmarket!" Jim responded. "The trolls aren't safe!"

"What about the amulet, Jim?" Toby asked.

"Whoever has it will most certainly be trying to open the bridge," Jim answered.

"But we don't have the last piece to the bridge," Blinky said.

"No, we don't, but Otto does!" Toby realized. "He's here! That's why the changelings are here too!"

"He must have gotten Ursurna to help him somehow!" Claire exclaimed.

"Who's Otto?" Darci asked.

"Not someone you'd like to be friends with," Jim replied.

"Need plan," Aaarrrgghh stated.

"Claire, you need to portal out Mary, Darci, and the Creepslayers. They aren't safe here," Jim ordered.

"No way! You gave us weapons which we currently still have! Let us use them!" Mary shouted.

"You four could die if you stay here," Blinky pointed out.

"And so could you!" Darci exclaimed. "But you're staying to help. Why not us?"

"You guys have only taken once self-defense and weapons training lesson. That isn't enough!" Jim worried.

"Jim, may I point out that you had no training when you first fought Bular. But you still fought anyways. And lived! We need all the help we can get!" Blinky said. Jim was silent for a moment before sighing audibly.

"Okay, you guys can stay. But don't do anything we don't tell you to do!" Jim instructed.

"Aye, aye!" Eli grinned.

"So, what's the plan?" Steve asked.

"Claire, I need you to get Douxie with us. He left before the game started. After that, you, Blinky, Mary, and Darci start evacuating any troll you can find. Use the gyre. Toby and Aaarrrgghh, you head to the bridge. Otto's plan to open the bridge won't work since he's not the Trollhunter, so he should be an easy opponent but be careful anyway. Steve and Eli, you're with me. You're going to help me evacuate the trolls in the forge. Tell Douxie to also meet us at the forge, Claire."

Everyone split up and began running in their respective directions.

Angor punched another changeling that tried to throw themselves at Vendel and hit another with his Shadow Staff. The forge was, unfortunately, being overrun by changelings. Angor could only do so much to protect the trolls around him.

The Kruberas were also attacking, causing Angor to growl. Ursurna had practically brainwashed them!

"My, this is a disaster!" Vendel exclaimed.

"I need to get you and everyone else out of here," Angor said, powering his Shadow Staff.

"But where?" Vendel questioned.

Suddenly, Jim and two other humans entered the forge. Jim was clearly taking the lead and attacking the brunt of their attackers. The humans seemed to be attacking the stragglers that Jim had left.

"Jim!" Vendel called out. "What is happening?"

"Ursurna and Otto are attacking! We're evacuating Trollmarket, so get to the gyre!"
