"Sir Steve! Are you half-baked?" Arthur questioned.

"I saw a mosquito! I needed to save Lancelot from it!" Steve defended.

"By hitting him over the head with a rock?" Galahad inquired.

"Nevermind that. Sir Steve, stay with Lancelot. The rest of you knights, after those trolls! Whoever gets a troll shall get a fiefdom!" Arthur proclaimed.

The knights cheered and began running in Callista and Jim's direction.

"Wait!" Douxie shouted, trying to get them to stop.

"My king, it isn't safe!" Merlin warned.

"Come, my handmaiden," Morgana said to Claire. "Not a moment to lose."

"We can't kill them," Claire frowned, stepping towards Morgana.

"I will do whatever I have to," Morgana replied, running off.

Claire knew that Morgana probably wouldn't kill a troll. It was almost guaranteed. But Claire couldn't stop herself from chasing after Morgana, hoping that Jim would be okay.

"Keep up, Jim! They're not that far behind!" Callista called out.

"How are we going to lose them?" Jim questioned.

"You have the magical glowing armor. Why don't you figure it out!" Callista growled.

"I can't!" Jim returned.

"Why not?" Callista asked, annoyed. "The knights are trying to kill us, and you're not going to use our only advantage?"

"Because it would mess up the time—Woah!" Jim exclaimed, feeling an arrow barely miss his face.

"We need to slow them down!" Callista frowned. Callista looked around at her ever-changing surroundings. "I got it! Kid, follow me!"

Callista began running faster, with Jim following close behind. Their path became rocky and steep, but that didn't slow the two trolls down. In fact, it only encouraged Callista and Jim to move faster.

Once they reached the stable ground, the two trolls paused for a moment to listen to if the knights followed or not.

Jim's ears twitched for any sound of a knight's yell for blood or the stomping of their boots.

Nothing.

"Looks like the knights were smart enough to not follow us," Callista noted, not hearing much either.

Jim sighed and felt as Daylight released its hold, and the amulet fell into his hand.

"We should keep moving," Jim replied, looking at Callista. Callista gave a singular nod to Jim.

"I know a place," Callista said. "But we need to hurry. Who knows if the knights will stay away."

They turned to begin running when suddenly a large form fell from higher ground and in front of Callista and Jim. The large form stood with hatred, and the sword he was holding gleamed with a power Jim was very familiar with.

A sickening realization settled within the trolls. They didn't hear the knights because this wasn't a chase anymore.

This was an ambush.

Knights appeared from behind the trees, and soon, Callista and Jim were surrounded from all sides. Jim and Callista stood back to back as their eyes desperately searched for any possible exit.

"You two are evasive," Arthur began, raising his sword. "But not smart."

"Not that they were before," A knight jeered.
