Jim groaned in his bed and held the pillow over his head tighter. He barely got any sleep last night. He had been plagued with monstrous nightmares. Again.

Everything was so loud. Of course, if he was returning to his troll form his senses would be the first thing to change. Lucky him.

Well, at least it was the weekend. Jim closed his eyes and tried to allow darkness to overcome him.

Buzz. Buzz. Buzz. I AM GUN ROBOT. Buzz. Buzz. Buzz.

Jim's eyes snapped open. It was Toby ringing him. He should probably answer it. After all, he needed to support Toby wherever it was needed. If he needed. Jim groaned and rubbed his head. His head was really sore and he had a huge migraine from the sudden sensitivity to sounds.

He picked up his phone and hit answer.

"Jimbo!" Toby exclaimed. Jim cringed and pulled his phone away due to the loud noise.

"Hey, Tobes. Everything alright?" Jim rasped.

"I should be asking you that," Toby responded. "You feeling alright, Jimbo?"

"Just a little headache, nothing serious," Jim grumbled. Lies. "Did you need something?"

"Yeah if you're up to it," Toby responded. "I was wondering if you'd like to join me in training today? Blinky and Aaarrrgghh said if you're going to join me on my Trollhunting adventures then you should at least have a bit of training."

Jim thought about it, Toby was probably right. Well, he could defend himself just fine but they didn't know that. If he was turning back into a troll then he really would be fine. Memories of Aaarrrgghh smacking him through his fence and straight into a bush but getting out unscathed and uninjured filled his brain.

"Sure, why not? When do you need me there?" Jim asked, getting out of bed.

"The sooner the better," Toby replied.

"Alright, I'll be there in ten," Jim stated.

"Text me when you've reached the bridge, I'll open it for you."

"Got it, see you soon."

Jim hung up and swiftly got dressed and ran out the door. Before he left the house, he put concealer over his scar. The only one who knew about it was Claire and he intended to keep it that way.

He made it to the canals in five minutes and texted Toby that he was at the entrance. Toby was quick to open the gate and pull Jim in. Jim had Toby lead the way since technically he's only been here a few times. Technically. In reality, he could probably walk the place blind and still know where he was.

"You know I'm curious, you accompany with every Trollhunters mission except for the ones in Trollmarket unless I specifically ask you to help me. Do you not like Trollmarket?" Toby asked.

"No, it's not that. Trollmarket is cool but it isn't really my element, you know?" Jim responded. Lies. Soon it would be his only element.

"You get used to it. I know I did," Toby smiled. Jim smiled back.

"Ah, Master Tobias, Jim, lovely to see you again and I'm so glad you've accepted to be trained," Blinky said warmly.

"Yeah, got to be there for, Tobes. Even if he can handle himself," Jim chuckled.

'Wouldn't be the same without you, Jimbo," Toby smiled.

"Well, we shall start with your training and then move on to Master Tobias's," Blinky stated.
