-Chapter 3

I stare at Daiji as he looks me in the eyes, looking a bit confused on why I'm here, and blink.

Daiji doesn't look a thing like his brother. He looks softer and more unsure about things. He also has longer bangs than his brother and he has them parted. He really gives me a different vibe from Ikki.

"Your brother invited me," I say, bringing up what he must want to know. I know that is what he wants to know, so I should let him have it out there in the open. "Where is your brother at currently?"

Ikki was with me for a little bit, but then he went off to handle something. I would have followed him, but I couldn't as Daiji was here. Since Daiji is here, I have to stay put and pretend to not be too interested in his brother's activities. If I seem too interested, it might make him suspect I'm up to something. That's the last thing I need to happen.

"Are you someone who is interested in him?" Daiji asks me curiously. He looks like he doesn't really trust me too much.

I shake my head. "In a way, I am interested him, but it isn't romantic. I strictly want to thank him for what he has done for me. He helped me big time." I lower my head a bit and close my eyes. I hope I look thankful right now.

"It isn't romantic?" Daiji sounds really confused by my words, but I can promise him that I am not after his brother in a romantic way.

I open my eyes and lift my head up a bit, nodding. "Yes, it isn't. He told me about you, Daiji. He really cares for you."

Daiji Igarashi, the original person supposed to be a Kamen Rider, is a person I do not know much about. He is not the target and Klaus did not provide me all the information about him. Since he is not a target, I do not need to worry too much about socializing with him or watching him. I was concerned about those close to Ikki at first, but Klaus is right. The mission is the most important.

"I'm sure he told you how pathetic I am," Daiji says, looking away from me. He looks a bit tense. Perhaps they are having problems.

"Pathetic?" I do not comprehend how he is pathetic.

"Yeah, I am pretty pathetic. I am pretty sure he told you all about it since you two are quite close." Daiji stands up and I look at him, giving him a confused look. "I bet it surprises you how pathetic I am. I'm not capable of doing anything good." For a shy person, he's quite open about his feelings for some reason to me.

"I do not understand why you would think he has told me that. Ikki has never once called you pathetic. In fact, he told me that you're pretty cool and a great brother who will be doing great things." He hasn't told me what Daiji does though, but that doesn't matter. I do not care to really know about that.

Daiji looks away from me. "I have to go."

"Daiji." I stand up, my body moving suddenly without me wanting it to. "Do not go. I wish to get to know you."
