They passed the test. Or what they call one. You got to give them credit though. This whole thing is last minute. They then regrouped in what they call a meeting room or what Gabriell calls, "The Hostage Room" as it is the same room that they were dragged against their will into.Sir. March then announced the results, "You guys did well. You surprised me and Matthew here with your teamwork skills. It might have been rough at first but you set aside your differences and finished the challenge. Even though, the first room was kind of unexpected. But you boys did surprise the both of us."
"And I'm proud to say that you boys passed the test. Now, For the last confirmation, do you want to go on the mission. Before you ask any further questions, let me just remind you that we will inform all your family members for you. Although, you'll never be able to have any communication with them until after the mission," explained Commander Matthew.
"And how long would that take Sir?" Travis asked.
"We, don't know. If the mission goes successfully, It'll be done in less than 6 months. No guarantees ," the commander replied.
Travis was at that very moment in a state of panic. Meanwhile, Gabriell had a large grin on his face.
He muttered something like, "No dad to boss me around anymore." Before firmly confirming his "yes".
"Now, no need to stress there Mr Lader, if you don't want this mission just say no. We'll then just call our washer and in no time you'll just walk straight out of here not remembering what happened," Sir. March said.
If those words were supposed to be comforting, it surely wasn't working.
"Wha..what about school?" was all that Travis muttered out.
"You'll be going to school on earth. All fees are paid for. Including your stay and meals. Any external cash would not be provided. This is not a vacation. It's a mission and we got no time to lose. So is it a yes or a no?" the commander asked.
"Can I call my parents one last time?" asked Travis.
Sir. March sighed before rummaging through his pocket and handing Travis his phone. "Make it quick," he said.
"Do you want to call your parents, Mr Montaz?" Commander Matthew asked.
"That would be unnecessary. My dad loves surprises. Just tell him that his dearest son will miss him so much," Gabriell said with much sarcasm as he could fit in the sentence. Which involves a lot of hand gestures.
It wasn't long until Travis finished his call. He returned the phone and muttered a thank you.
"Alright! Let's move to the storyboard shall we," said the commander.
"Story Board?" the boys said in unison.
"Well of course. Travis your name there will be Trevor Waltson and Gabriell's name there would be called umm... Gabe Waltson," he said.
"Seriously? You two are professional agents here on a mission and you two can't think of a cooler name?" Gabriell complained.
"I mean, I wanted to call you Bob Bobler but, Mr Serious here says that it's not a professional name," Commander Matthew said then elbowing March in the ribs.
After hearing those words," You know what? I think I'll just stick with Gabe Waltson."
"I think I like the name, Trevor. I think it suits me." Travis said happily.
"Ok then, we'll just move on. We don't have a second to spare. If anyone asks you about anything personal, say that you two are cousins that moved here to stay with your uncle in San Diego. Gabe's parents are always overseas due to their job so you never got to see them often since the day you were born. Harsh, I know but we cannot afford any controversy. Ok so, Trevor's parents raised you back in umm... Sydney Australia. Then one day, Trevor received a scholarship here in San Diego. Gabe too. Due to his athletic ability. Remember, you guys are undercover agents. No one must know. Even the person you trust.Sounds good on the storyboard? Ok good." Sir. March said in a rush.
"Your watches here is a state of the art technology. Don't lose it. Your watch is a voice-activated, DNA and recognition device that means that it will seem like any other watch in their hand if someone else has it in their hands. It does not run out of battery. It's water, fire and shock-resistant. It can take a beating. It can instantly put on your suit and back with a touch of your finger. Another feature lets you put on any clothes you wish in a flash. So no need to buy any new ones. This function should not be abused. It is also a GPS that will be able to tell you where your partner is. We will also be monitoring you closely from here. If we detect any threats, the watch will vibrate 3 times. If your teammate is in trouble which happens if one of you hits the distress button, It will buzz non-stop. If you feel a static shock from your watch, it means either your partner or one of us is calling you. And you need to get to somewhere where no one can hear or see you before answering," Commander. Matthew said in as few breaths as possible. Now still huffing and puffing.
"Commander Matthew, what are you doing?" Sir. March asked.
"Trying to say as much as possible and as fast as possible in one breath. Why?" The commander replied. Sir. March just sighed.
"Alright, to the portal. Your "uncle" will be waiting for you outside the portal. He's a healer there working for us. Ok now go," Sir. March rushed them out and into what seems to be a portal room.
"Good luck kiddos," the two men said in unison as both Gabriell and Travis walked straight into the beaming light of earth's portal.
