The trial would continue later that evening after dinner. Wren had to be escorted back to a cell until then. Gabriell, Madison and Ron decided to grab a light meal, within the perimeters of the court. Leaving them during trials would be considered punishable by law.

"So, why'd you get called in for?" Maddison asked.

"Well, long story but..." Gabriell filled her and Ron in. He made sure to include the part where Fred was actually his father and Wren Buker but he left out their rough relationship together. He noticed how completely attentive the siblings were. Their attention was not divided the entire time.

The three of them forced themselves to finish their meal although none of them had the appetite to eat anything. Too much has happened in such a short period of time that they found it hard to wrap their head around it. They all knew that this might as well be their last meal for a long time.

"Bang, bang, bang!" the judge banged his gavel hard to regain the attention of the whole court. "The trial shall now commence!"

Everyone began to take their positions. Alil at the defendant's podium, Bargery at the prosecutor's, Wren at his chair and the juries in their viewing areas.

The plan had now been put into motion. Alil, with his quick thinking, somehow made Bargery call for another serum to be injected. He faked a horrified expression when Wren's face took its form, though a little too dramatic. Even though they all knew what would happen, it neither made us feel more prepared nor safer knowing what we knew.

As everyone was so fixated on the transformation that nobody noticed when Gabriell got up and approached Sir. March and Commander Matthew.

"Uhm... I need to use the restroom. Are the restrooms here as good as the ones back in the 'Bunker'?" Gabriell made sure to emphasize the word. He crossed his fingers hoping that the 'important person' would get the hint.

On hearing this, Sir. March questioned, "You need to go now?" He began rolling up his sleeves as if about to show him the way.

Commander Matthew quickly answered, "Oh I'll take you there. No need to trouble yourself, March. It's still in the same building so you don't have to worry about not being able to reenter the court." He wore on his face a nervous smile as he stiffly ushered Gabriell as far away for Sir. March as possible. He looked over his shoulder and rested his hands on Gabriell's shoulders, "Don't worry, the bathrooms there are even better than the ones in the 'Bunker'." He emphasized the words back.

In less than a second, Gabriell had been transported back to earth. A second later, he saw Maddison and Ron began to appear right in front of him. He had to squint his eyes real hard to adjust to the sudden burst of divine light.

"Good luck, kiddos," Commander Matthew mouthed just before he vanished into the lights. The moment he was gone, the binding light began to dim until there was no more. It took a while for the three of them to recollect themselves but it didn't take long for them to see a familiar pathway to a familiar-looking old house in between two modern buildings like an eye-sore.

Gabe smiled at seeing their house but was saddened. Now, as he gazed upon the empty house, he couldn't help but remember all the memories he had there. All the tiring missions that all ended with returning to 'The House'. It was the only place where he truly felt safe. He misses the creaking corridor and his old room and most importantly, Trevor. How he stayed up all night on his super-computer working. The constantly annoying clack of the keyboard as he worked throughout the night. That place was their fortress. It felt as if the floor was being pulled out from under his feet.

Maddison managed to help Gabe snap out of it and reminded him of the mission at hand. They made sure they were out of sight before they all tapped on their watches and suited up.

"Time to find Miles!" Gabe announced as they all swung to the one place, they knew they would be able to find him. The Coronado Bridge. Gabe remembered the image vividly. He remembered the image that Trevor had pointed out not too long ago. It was in some building that overlooks the bridge. They just need to find which one.

Everything was going to plan. As expected, Bargery proclaimed an order for a death sentence, the judge agreed but only after he undergoes all the interrogation needed to extract all the important information from him. Alil was doing a great job prolonging the trial by annoyingly getting on Bargery's nerves. He purposely summoned the wrong paperwork of another person and pretended not to notice. He especially frantically pretended to look for Wren Buker's documents when he realized that he had shown the wrong ones. Which irritated Bargery.

The attorney also made sure to include Wren's sympathy to hopefully persuade the thick-headed Bargery to offer a lighter punishment instead of the death sentence. Due to this, Wayne and Beth were summoned out of nowhere in the middle of the court. The pair were terrified and wide-eyed. Wayne tried to put on a brave mask but inside, he was truly terrified.

The two were asked simple questions like did they remember the oath of secrecy they swore to, had they broken yet it or were planning to? They were later asked to testify their point of view about the night they found out and to expound on Wren's choice of not wiping their memories.

Exactly on cue, Commander Matthew had returned from transporting the teenagers. Just as he was about to appear right in the middle of the court, Alil had sent all his paperwork flying like confetti. Wren had been especially grateful as it conceals him and the commander as they disappeared into thin air.

The moment Wren and the Commander had landed on earth, Wren looked like a totally different person. He had taken in the sachet under his pants. There's no more accurate way to describe his appearance than this phrase, 'he looks like a Brad but a middle-aged looking one'. Matthew helped remove his chains. They both found themselves in the middle of Pleasant Park where it all began.
