When Beth opened her eyes, she wanted to scream but before she could, Maddie jumped forward and covered her mouth shut until she calmed down. Maddie put a finger to her mouth and began surveying the area. When the coast was clear she walked over to Gabe, tapping him on the shoulder.
Gabe looked up at her, eyes swollen and red with grief. He removed his mask revealing himself to Wayne and Beth.
Wayne's eyes went wide, "Wait! If that's Gabe, then that's..."
Gabe removed an unconscious Trevor's mask. "He's not breathing!" he cried.
"Send him to the bunker! My watch is not working," Maddie instructed as she bent over to check on Trevor.
"My watch isn't too."
Maddie stood up and swivelled her head towards Wayne and Beth. She tried to stand as tall as she could, biting her lip to stop a sob from escaping. "Wayne, do you have bandages by any chance?"
"Yes," he replied cautiously. "Why don't we just call the ambulance?" He suggested taking out his phone.
"NO!" Maddie lunged at him, grasping Wayne on the shoulders.
He trembled in fear mumbling out an apology. "I'll go get the bandages."
"Sorry," Maddie mumbled loosening her grasp. Maddie let her eyes wander to the wretched Gabe.
"Grandpa, please..."
Wayne returned hurriedly with the bandages and passed them to Maddie. Gabe stepped aside to let her do her thing. In quick succession, Maddison bandaged Trevor's wound tight, stopping most of the bleeding. She tried finding Trevor's pulse but to no avail. As the last resort, she began performing chest compressions. Several minutes have passed but to no avail. Now, tears began streaming down Maddie's face.
A loud thunder cracked in the sky, slicing the clouds in half. Fred, Sir. March and Commander Matthew materialized in the middle of the Livingstone's living room.
"Step aside!" Fred commanded. Everyone obeyed. Fred took out his ailment, plucked out its cover and began applying it all over Trevor's wound. The wound began to miraculously heal. Wayne and Beth's jaw dropped almost in unison. Fred held the mouth of his aliment bottle to Trevor's nose. The room grew silent. When Trevor didn't respond, Fred began to grow impatient. "You!" he exclaimed pointing to Wayne. "Hold this bottle in this position for me."
Wayne did as he was told. Fred placed both of his thumbs on Trevor's temples. Gabe was taken aback by Fred's actions. Gabe identified Fred's abilities as a Telepath. Telepathy is a rare ability to have. Telepaths have very strong mental. This means that they can learn anything quick if they put their mind to it. "That was why he was able to perform the seal." Gabe only knew of two people who had that ability.
"Come on!" Fred gritted his teeth. Shutting his eyes as tight as he could. "I just need a strand!" He pressed his fingers harder into Trevor's temples. Fred dug into Trevor's mind with all his might. "He's in there somewhere. I just need to surface him. He's not lost yet." The mind is the last thing to go so the mind would be the last place to look.
One telepath was Wren Buker. Brother of Miles Buker. The brother had been deemed as deceased and the other was a famous tutor but that tutor was said to have disappeared from the face of the universe. Just then, the tips of Trevor's hair began to change colour.
"Fred," Sir. March said. When he didn't respond, "Fred!" he yelled.
Fred's eyes snapped back into the present. He too noticed Trevor's hair beginning to change colour. "No, no, no, this can't be." Fred pressed his thumbs again on Trevor's temples. "Not after all this!"
