"Incredible," Sir. March breathed. Fred was on the other side of the basement applying his 'magic' ailment on Gabe and Ron healing them within hours. Commander Matthew was still rubbing his eyes. He still couldn't believe that Brave Heart was in their presence.

Trevor had borrowed Maddison's phone and called Fred informing him about their new discovery. Sir. March and Commander Matthew arrived with him a moment later.

"Wait, I don't get it," began Trevor. "Explain to me again how this time thing works?"

Sir. March started, "Time is a relative thing in the universe. Time on earth and back home are exactly the same but my theory thinks that as you travelled to earth, you have to pass through the void of dimensions."

"The void is a dark and cold place. No one knows how much time you spend there. You might've had a coma when you were there," Fred, cut in.

"Hey, what's that?" asked Commander Matthew pointing at the heap of junk with the half-built machine.

Everyone craned their heads towards Maddison who was sitting on one of the chairs in the room. She was about to say something but faltered. Her lips began quivering and she began to sob. Trevor crossed the room over to her and gave her a hug. She embraced it crying over his shoulder.

"We built it in hopes that we may return home. Now, that we know that everyone we knew and loved is dead, there is nothing for us to go back to," Ron decided to answer.

"I hope you don't mind me asking, how did you two manage to survive here?" Fred inquired.

" Maddie was dusty and beaten from the fight. Me, not so much. I only came in to shield Maddie on Balthazar's final blow before he self-combusted. Maddie was still twelve back then and I just turned twenty-four. Landing in a foreign land, I was lost. Maddie was passed out and I didn't know what to do. We seemed to be in the middle of a popular area. Where people were constantly, hustling and bustling, talking on their phones, they were all too busy to notice us.

I tried asking people for help but they all ignored me. Until one little boy waddled over. He was holding cotton candy in one hand and a 50-dollar bill in the other. The boy gave me the bill, hugged me and mumbled, "okeh?" before he was ushered by his mother away. His mother pointed to the nearest medical care before disappearing into the crowd.

I took Maddie to get her wounds dressed. She had gotten herself a nasty bash on the ribs. Luckily, none were broken. I duplicated the bill in my hand before paying so that I could always keep the original one.

After Maddie was taken care of, I managed to duplicate more of the bill to be able to afford a small house and live a comfortable life and here we are today." Ron finished, gesturing to everything around him.
