Maddison and Gabe just made themselves a drink when a loud commotion began to stir. The two got up from their seats on the aisle side and hurriedly went to the lounge to see Ron demanding answers while being constrained by the officers. Fred was in handcuffs and was escorted to the centre by several officers.
"What are you doing to my brother!" Maddison demanded pushing her way through to get to her brother but was blocked by an officer.
"Fred, what's going on?" Gabe asked.
"Nothing you need to concern yourself with. I've just received a few charges and my fate would be decided in court," the Guardian replied.
"You didn't commit any of them, did you? They're all just a misunderstanding, right?" Maddison asked.
Fred looked at them sympathetically and gave a weak smile, "You kids stay here and be good ok?" was all he said before being whisked away along with the rest of the officers.
Ron fell limp on the ground panting. Clearly exhausted from the officers' constraints. His sister ran towards him putting his arm around her shoulder as she slowly helped to lift him up. The group looked at each other not knowing what to do.

The school bell rang marking the start of first period. As the first period began, Tessa couldn't help but stare at the empty seats around her. She was in utter disbelief that everyone was still able to continue their day-to-day life as if whatever was happening was completely normal. Tessa tried to keep her thoughts and theories away by clocking in early to make her rounds around the school, but she couldn't help herself. Her mind always drifted to the mysterious disappearance of her best friend and the two boys. She even let a couple of juniors cut the line when buying their meals. Not to mention a fight that she walked past without a care in the world.
Her mind was so preoccupied with the recent events that she didn't see where she was going and bumped into Wayne. Wayne yelped and Tessa immediately mumbled back an apology. Wayne's eyes were open wide and he looked extra nervous.
"Are you ok? I know yesterday's party was crazy but I didn't- " Tessa inquired but before Wayne could squeak a word, Beth came out behind him, grabbing him by the arm and pulling him forward.
"So sorry," Beth mumbled, "He had a little too much to drink last night." She explained quickly before ushering Wayne away from her as quickly as possible.
Tessa thought their encounter was rather odd. Both of them didn't behave like themselves. After school as Tessa was exiting the school campus, she noticed Wayne and Beth talking to each other on a bench that is the furthest away from the rest of the students. Tessa felt something was off as Wayne was usually swarmed by many of his friends, constantly. She saw how Beth seems to be saying something exasperatedly. Tessa couldn't help but be slightly curious.
She took out a pair of earphones and pretended to listen to some music as she nonchalantly approached them, eavesdropping on their hushed conversation.
"What part of acting normal did you not understand?" Beth whispered.
"I'm trying," Wayne said defending himself, " but how can I after last night's events!?"
Beth sighed and rubbed her temples, "Try not to be so jittery. Let's just pretend like none of this ever happened, okay? We're lucky that the man convinced them not to wipe our memories," her friend nodded in agreement. The friends then both got up and left.
"Wipe our memories?" Tessa breathed. Tessa rushed home and took out her laptop to do some research. Unfortunately, she found nothing on the media. She scratched her head and did some more digging. It didn't take long for her to find an article online which was posted at the exact same time she arrived at Wayne's party, 'THE BANK, ROBBED BY A FLYING MAN' she read. Tessa began reading the article and began cross-examining it line by line. The picture on her screen was very blurry and it looked to have been taken in a hurry. Tessa squinted her eyes and tilted her head slightly to try and get a better look at the image. It took her a while but she managed to make out the scene the picture was showing.
The Bank was surrounded by dozens of police officers. A shadow of a man was shown on the building's wall but its owner seemed to be out of frame. She sighed in disappointment. The article didn't tell much. The article was just a brief description of the scene. She was about to shut her laptop when she noticed something at the corner of her eye. She brought the screen closer to her face as she enlarged the image. Unfortunately, enlarging it did not make it clearer but Tessa didn't care. In the background of the picture, in between two tall buildings, she noticed a clump of dark pixels together. The pixels were all she needed.
Tessa laughed at herself, jumped up and down triumphantly. "They're people!" she said ecstatically.
"Tessa, is everything alright?"
"Yes, mom."
ps: Author here. I know that this is an extremely short chapter compared to all the others. I promise that the next one will be much longer. So, to make up for the short chapter, I did a little bonus illustration. So feast your eyes upon my take on Gabe and Prince Harvey as how I would picture them :)Gabe Watson / Gabriell Montaz
The picture of Prince Harvey that Sir. March gave Trevor.
Alright, that's all for today. See you next week ;)
