*AMELIA'S POV*
Morning.
Time to reflect on the news that I was told last night. My dad had got some woman pregnant and I was still waiting for him to tell me about it.
But I'm sure that he wasn't going to be telling me anytime soon. Not unless I asked him about it first and I wasn't going to do that. I was just going to wait until he decided to tell me about it.
Safe to say, I was pretty annoyed with him. I was supposed to be his daughter, but he wasn't treating me like that. He was just treating me like a no one that didn't really matter very much.
I was used it to now though. And it was never going to change.
I walked down the stairs to see that Max was already awake and so was Kaylee. That explained why I had managed to sleep until elven this morning rather than until half eight when Kaylee usually wakes me up. She was my person alarm clock.
He just smiled at me and carried on playing with Kaylee. I walked out into the kitchen and put the kettle on, attempting to grab a mug from the cupboard as I did so. Sometimes I hated being short. Made life difficult and I didn't like having to ask people for help.
"Need some help there?" I heard Max say from behind me.
"No, I'm fine thanks..." I replied, jumping up slightly trying to get the mug which was nearest the edge.
"You sure? You look like you need some help!" he laughed at me.
"No, I've got it..."
"Don't look like you have..." he said and I could hear him coming closer to me.
"Almost there..." I chuckled with another jump. After a couple more attempts of trying to get the mug, I finally gave up and turned around to see Max was stood pretty close to me. He had a smile on his face at the same time as laughing.
"Do you want me to get you a mug?" he said.
"Please. Do you want one?" I replied.
"Since you're offering, then why not..."
"I didn't say I would make it; I just asked if you wanted one!" I giggled at him.
"Now that's just mean!" he said, pretending to be in a mood with me.
"I'm not a nice person though..." I whispered in his ear. I then walked away and went back to making the tea. I didn't really know why I was acting this way.
I guess I was just annoyed with my dad and I had a way of getting back at him. So I was going to use that to see where it got me. I'm sure my dad would suddenly have an interest if he found out that I was acting this way with Max.
Stupid and immature I know.
But that's how annoyed I am with him right now.
I will act like that just to make a point and make him see just how he is making me feel.
"Here you go..." I said as I handed Max his cup with a smile on my face.
"So, how come it took you so long to invite us all round here again then?" he asked me.
"Just been busy. Looking after Kaylee took up loads of my time and I never really found a good time to ask you lot to come round really..."
"You know that we're all here for you. Don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it!"
"It's not that I need help, but I'm just so used to Jason being here that it's going to be hard doing this on my own for the next three months..."
"Well, I'm here if you need me. Just want you to know that..." he smiled at me as he took a sip from his tea.
