“There, all done.” Mom just finished putting a new bandage on my leg, it was almost healed. I can stand and walk by my own now but I’m still a little slow. I guess by tomorrow I’m back to normal again.

“Thanks Mom.” I folded back down my pants and got my backpack all ready to go to school.

“Sam, hurry up. Xander’s here already!” Dad shouted from the living room, Mom and I are here in the kitchen. I ate my breakfast before Mom put a bandage on my leg. Wait, my mate’s here? I abruptly stood up and walk as fast as I can to the living room where Dad and Xander is standing and talking.

“Good morning Sammie.” My heart is beating so fast, ghad when will I be used to his handsome face, when will my heart stop going wild every time I see him? I know, never. “Is your leg fine now?”

“Ahh.. hmm yeah it’s almost healed.” Why am I stammering? After we slept together in the same bed last night I shouldn’t be feeling all shy in front of him. By the way, I need to ask him what time he went home. “I think we have to go, I don’t want to be late.”

We said our goodbye’s to my parents and went inside his car. He even insisted on carrying me but I firmly said no, I don’t want to be a burden for him.

“Hmm so why did you pick me up?” I was expecting to see my mate at school but don’t get me wrong of course I’m happy to see him first thing in the morning.

“Should I really answer that, Sammie?” I immediately shook my head. “I heard from Max that Macky’s been the one picking you up for some time now. I think we should change that starting today.” Oh yeah I forgot about that. Speaking of Macky, I should really talk to him about what happened yesterday. I owe him an explanation.

“Xander?”

“Yes, love?” Waaah he’s making me blush again.

“What time did you went home?” I asked without looking at him. Mom woke me up this morning, knocking on my door and as I was starting to open my eyes I remembered Xander slept in my bedroom. I frantically got up expecting him to be sleeping beside me but he was not there anymore.

“I think it was 3 in the morning. I didn’t have the heart to wake you up.” He smiled at me as he parked his car. I went out of the car before he can open the door for me. He gave me a disapproving look but I just shrugged at him.

“SAAAAAAM!” Yes you’re right it’s Max. “You feeling ok already?” I just nodded as a response.

“Sammie, I’ll get something inside first. Max?” I creased my head thinking of what would he be getting inside this early.

“Don’t worry, Sam’s safe with me.” Max then dragged me away from my mate to our spot.

“Hey, Max!” She looked at me with a questioning look as if saying ‘what?’. “My leg, bitten by rogues, remember?”

“Oh ghad, sorry Sam.” We then walked in a slower pace.

Questions were thrown at me at the exact moment we arrived at our spot about how was my leg and of course the girls wanting to know about why I hid the fact that Xander is my mate. They were talking in front of me asking themselves why they didn’t notice anything as if I wasn’t there. They are really my friends. Sheeesh.

“There you are Macky.” I momentarily froze at the mention of Macky’s name. But eventually I looked at him and forced out an awkward smile. I was startled when he sat beside me and playfully put his arms around my shoulders.

“So I think you need to explain something to me?” Macky whispered, our friends oblivious on what he was doing. I took a deep breath and slowly put away his arms around my shoulders.
