10. 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬

It had been almost a month since that morning where Elena made the decision to move to LA. In that month her and the girls had moved into a spacious two storey, six bedroom house in Bel Air. Elena had managed to finish her first year early due to having an excess of credits. And she'd cut off a few toxic relatives, including her grandfather.

She was happier than ever, especially now that she was in the process of completing her first E.P. After hearing her covers on the internet as well as her vocals on Olivia's album, Interscope Records had signed her and had encouraged her to release her debut single featuring Olivia on the 1st of April.

And so she did, within the first six hours of its release, deja vu had risen to the top of the charts. Garnering a lot of attention as many fans tried to decode the meaning behind the lyrics. Yet it was about to get a while lot worse with the music video being released that evening. They'd teased fans with scenes from the music video but what they didn't know was that Elena would use the end of the music video to tease her next release. As a Marvel fan she only found it fitting to do so.

That's why Elena was sitting in her living room surrounded by her and Olivia's friends, with family members occasionally calling in to congratulate them as they waited for the clock to strike 8pm. The two cousins were huddled together, something they'd done since Elena arrived in LA. They were talking to Dr. Collins on the phone, who's become a guardian angel to the two girls as they entered the early stages of stardom in Hollywood. Elena had completed her therapy programme but never hesitated to call the doctor if she felt her emotions were becoming to overwhelming. The therapist was currently congratulating the two girls on their achievement.

"Ellie, Liv come on there's one minute left! We're ready to live tweet." Makhyli called making the girls drop the call and head over to the living room where a special guest was waiting.

"Hey Lena where do you want me to put these flowers?" The boy asked making the girl look in his direction. She gasped as she realised who was standing in front of her.

"Romeo!" With that being said she launched herself into his arms, everyone around them cooing at the sight as he nuzzled his face into her long hair. The duo has been in constant contact throughout the month, with Romeo being excited that she was more accessible to him now thar she was in L. A. She quickly led him to the couch where they sat cuddled together. Her manager, Anais, handed her her phone with the Twitter app open and offered to put the flowers in a vase.

Soon the countdown ended and everyone had their eyes glued to the screen as Olivia appeared, with Elena making an appearance as her "replacement" and showcasing her vocals on the second verse of the song. The bridge and ending of the song were a duet with the two girls watching their love interest move on with yet another girl.

The reaction on social media was insane as people flocked there to compliment the girls and compile conspiracy theories that had the girls laughing. The group decided to turn the viewing party into a mini house party. Which ended up with Romeo and Elena sharing a heated kiss. But learning from her previous experience she stopped it before they took it to another level.

"Rome, babe can we stop? " the girl asked the boy as she straddled him on the bed.
"Yeah thats fine. If you don't feel comfortable I totally understand. Let's just go to sleep OK?" he whispered as hugged her. His parents had raised him to know his boundaries and in return respect other people's boundaries. They fell asleep like that, both holding onto each other. A feeling that they could both get used to.
