The weekend of the second Austrian grand prix had rolled around and despite a promising result at the previous round, Lando was feeling down. This was due to Elena being unable to join him for the triple header, a result of her busy schedule. They'd obviously FaceTimed as much as possible and Elena made sure to keep up with everything that was going on in Formula 1. But that didn't seem to be enough for the Brit as he complained to his team about how much he missed his girlfriend.
Luckily Zak had been in contact with Elena, who so happened to be done with all her press and rehearsal commitments, and they'd planned to surprise Lando after media day.
Hence why Elena was currently hiding in the Ferrari hospitality with Charlotte. The Spanish girl had arrived evening before and had booked an Airbnb 40 minutes away from the circuit. She was planning to have a little getaway with Lando after the race so she'd booked a cute cottage on a private farm where they could enjoy each other's company away from everything.
Currently she had been staying in the same hotel as Lando, without his knowledge thanks to Zak. Now all she needed to do is sneak into his driver's room to surprise him when he returned from the media pen.
Charlotte giggled as the two girls walked towards the McLaren building, Elena looking over her shoulder constantly to see if Lando was anywhere near.
"Elena, oh my God he's not here. Now come on." The Monegasque girl said as she dragged her friend to the door of the McLaren hospitality.
"OK I'm going to leave you here because I'm pretty sure I'll get kicked out since I'm a Ferrari wag. Good luck and bye sweets." With that she rushed back to her boyfriends drivers room while Elena asked one of the staff members to open up Lando's room for her.
Five minutes later she could hear Daniel and Lando walking down the hallway towards their rooms. She heard them stop in front of the door as they debated over the best place to get schnitzel in the area, making the girl roll her eyes as only they would be arguing over something as insignificant as food. Finally the conversation ended and Lando used his key to unlock his room.
"Surprise shawty!" Whisper yelled Elena as Lando stared at her in awe. While she was back in California she'd gotten a new haircut, adding bangs to her every day hairstyle.
Without a word the McLaren driver leaped onto the couch on which Elena was sitting on and pulled her into his arms. They were soon lying on the couch cuddling, Elena lightly playing with his hair while he told her about the past two weeks.
Everything felt so right in that moment. It was perfect, just the two of them in their own little bubble.
