25. 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 (4𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐬)

"Hi." Said the Spanish girl as she looked up at Lando.

The boy was frozen in his spot, completely speechless at the sight in front of him. The moment was disrupted by Ace, who'd grown since Elena had last seen him, running towards them with Max not far behind trying to stop the dog from going outside. Only then did Elena notice that the whole Quadrant team was in the house.

"Oh. Hi Elena. I didn't know that you were coming today."
Max said as he looked at his friend who still appeared to be in a state of shock.

"Yeah it was an impulsive decision but I really need to talk to Lando."
The two looked at Lando as he slowly caught up with the conversation. Once realising what she'd said he rushed to answer her.

"Uhm sure just give me a second to get my car keys, why don't you come in and wait inside. I'm pretty sure the others have missed you."
With that the girl sighed as she walked in, heading straight to the living room where the team were fooling around while a photographer snapped a few shots of the new merch.

"Uhm since when were you guys models? "
The Spanish singer joked as she stood behind the group.

"Oh my gosh! Ellie!"
Exclaimed Ria and Makhyli as they jumped on the girl, making them crash to the ground in a tight hug.

"Jesus guys, you'll kill the girl before we can even hug her. Heya Elle, did you miss us?"
Said Niran in his usual playful tone.

"I did but I mostly missed Ria, Mak and Ace. Sorry not sorry."
Elena felt her confidence returning as she spoke to her friends, and the attention she was getting from Ace helped as the dog jumped around her and the girls on the floor. The girls soon got up as they heard Lando come down the stairs.

" I'm ready to go, if you are of course?"
Lando asked with a shrug. He'd covered his dark curls with a beige cap, a sight that always made Elena weak at the knees.

"Uhm yea sure. Let's go. See you later guys."
The group looked at the former couple and then at one another, each of them hoping that the conversation would end well.

They finally made it to their spot. They'd taken the dog with them, therefore they quickly let the dog out to run about the field.

"I guess I should explain why I'm here."

"Yea that would be a good start."
The British boy nodded.

"Well while I was with Jacob."
She was disrupted by him scoffing.

"Calm down. While I was with him I realized that because I didn't hear you out, I never got any closure and that before I can move forward with my life, I need to know what happened. We were so happy a d content with one another and then the next moment I see pictures of you with another girl online. What happened? "
Her voice was thick with emotion as she looked at the boy that she still loved so much.

Lando folded like a house of cards. He told her everything, from how he felt after Hungary to him meeting Alissa on his holiday.

" I think my insecurities finally caught up with me. After Hungary I felt like I didn't deserve you. Here you were, with your career taking off and topping the charts, while I couldn't seem to get anything right. And it didn't help that everyday I'd get messages saying how you chose me over a these other guy's who are so cool, like Hero, Romeo and even Jacob. People expected our relationship to be so perfect and when it wasn't they instantly tried to find someone to replace me, someone they felt was more worthy to be your partner. It sucked and I didn't know how to tell you. "
He paused to look at her as she looked at him in disbelief, she had been blissfully unaware of all the things he'd gone through just to be with her.
