This whole chapter takes place the night before the storm incident, picking up where I left off with Shinso :)
Hitoshi Shinso
"So Hitoshi...are you gonna explain?"
Well, time to die I guess. He must've heard be leave, and sat waiting here for almost an hour for me to return.
"Sit, Hitoshi."
I slowly went over to the table and sat, yet to meet his glaring gaze.
"So...care to explain why I was woken by the sound of you leaving the house at 3:30am, and why you have only returned an hour later?"
"I....look, I got a panicked message from a friend of mine and wanted to check if they were ok, that's all."
"Hitoshi, never has a 'friend' needed such help at 3:30am that they would message you. If I was that close to my friends I'd never sleep."
"Yeah, well this one was serious. And I don't regret going, he wasn't doing well."
"Look, it's a good thing that you're making friends, and that you care about them, but I can't have you sneaking out like that, it worries me. What if you get run over? Kidnapped? Anything! I don't want to make you feel guilty, but if something happened to you now, your sister wouldn't be able to cope. You are the last thing she has right now, so don't take that from her as well, y'know?"
"So this is about Eri? God, I'm concerned about my friend who's having a major panic attack about his own trauma, and you're telling me to cross the street properly? Jeez.." I retorted. I wasn't too sure why, because I knew he was right. I guess I just kinda wanted to put Kami first for now..
"I get that, but it's my job, at the end of the day. This friend, is he doing ok now?"
"Yeah, I stayed until he calmed down. Kaminari, his name is."
"I went to school with a Kaminari. Loud girl with bright blond hair..."
"That'd be his mother then, he's basically the same."
"Hmm...you and him are close, huh?"
"Yeah, we're...friends." I said to him, not quite sure what to say in this scenario. It seemed a little bit of a strange time to drop that bombshell, not that I thought he'd mind.
"Ok, well make sure to keep your...'friends' close, yeah?" He accentuated the word 'friends', which led me to believe that he'd caught on. I didn't mind so much, it wasn't something important, at least as I saw it.
"Will do. And...thanks."
"Don't worry. I'll just send out an e-mail saying class is cancelled today and tomorrow. There's been a bug infestation in our block. But never mind that, you get off to bed!"
"Yeah, sure. Night."
"Yeah.."
I slowly made my way up the stairs, and into my room. Flopping down onto the bed, I decided to send Kaminari a little message just for him to wake up to in the morning.
Don't worry, I've got you.
I'm always here for you,
Denki, and you can tell me
anything. Whenever you need
me, I'll be there. XI closed over my phone, and tried to go to sleep, but less than a minute later I'd shot back up and opened it again, sending another, relatively short message.
Love you x

It was maybe 5am by this point, but I wasn't paying much attention to the time. For now, Kiri and I had been FaceTiming since maybe 10pm, and we weren't even nearly done yet. My parents had gone to visit family, so I was alone for the night, and wasn't about to waste it on just sleeping!
