TW // the beginnings of a panic attack
Shoto Todoroki
Kat was being incredibly cuddly today. He barely let go of me as we walked towards Aizawa's place, insisting on having contact with me at all times. It's not that I minded, I was just conscious of the fact that I was meant to try and let him do things alone. Then again, he couldn't hug me if he was alone.
We arrived pretty quickly at Aizawa's, and I knocked on the door. It was Shinso that answered, and he looked a little confused at first, but welcomed us inside.
"Shinso..could you stay with Kat, please? I need to speak to your uncle.."
"Oh, uh, sure. He's just in the kitchen right now. Bakugo, you wanna come upstairs...?"
"Sure, whatever..." Kat said, but I heard that he wasn't sure. I squeezed his hand, and he carefully followed Shinso up the stairs. Making my way into the kitchen, I quietly knocked on the counter, and he turned around, a little shocked to see me there.
"Oh, Todoroki! Didn't hear you come in..what can I do for you."
"Sorry for the intrusion, sensei, I just...wondered if I could discuss a few things with you? If you have the time, of course.."
"Yeah..yeah, now is a good time. Coffee?" he offered, and I accepted. A couple of minutes later, we were sat at the dinner table, and I began explaining the situation.
"So...the storm on Thursday night. Due to some past events, I've always had issues with very loud noises, and the storm got to me. My...my boyfriend, Katsuki, was at work at the time, and he rushed home in the rain to get to me, to make sure I was safe. He tripped on the way, and broke his elbow. After I'd managed to calm down once he'd arrived, I called him an ambulance, but while we were on the way to the hospital, one of the arteries in his arm was pierced by a bone, and he started internally bleeding. The nurse told me they'd have to amputate his arm. Ever since he got out yesterday afternoon, I've been helping him the best I can with whatever he needs, but.. he's struggling to be away from me right now. I..I was wondering if I could do stuff at home, even just for a few days?"
"Well...first of all, you've been doing incredibly well, looking after him. Where is he now...?"
"Upstairs, with Shinso."
"I see..well, I can easily send you over the page numbers you'll need for this week, plus I think you're more than capable of understanding what it means. Of course, e-mail me back if you struggle with it, but I don't think you will."
"Thank you sensei, that means a lot."
"Don't worry. You have enough on your plate right now. Take it easy with the work, there's plenty time left in the year."
"I will do, and thanks again."

I followed Shinso all the way to his bedroom, and as he opened the door, I saw a little girl with silver-grey hair sitting on the large bed inside. She kept her eyes on me as I walked inside, cowering behind Shinso as I got closer.
"Eri, this is Bakugo, he's gonna be here just for a little while. You wanna say hi?"
Eri looked at her brother, pausing a little, before shaking her head.
"Don't take it personally, she doesn't work too well with new people."
"That's fine, neither do I.."
"So...how've you found it so far?"
"Better than I was told, worse than I want it to be."
"Well, it's always going to be tough. And I think you've done well to even come out. You aren't sat on your own wallowing in pity, you've come outside and accepted it, and that takes guts."
