Craziest Month Ever

Peter blinked and looked up at Carol.
"Why did you return then?"

"You came in contact with the same thing that gave me my power, it activated the power you inherited from me, this send a signal to me and I needed to insure you were safe," Carol explained.

"What was it?" Peter questioned even though he knew it was one of the stones.

Carol looked at him and said, "The Tesseract!"

Peter's pov:
Wow what is my life right now? This is just crazy.

"Uhm, I- uhh."

"It's ok. You don't need to instantaneously process this, take your time, breathe," Mom instructs and I manage to relax.

Wow I'm getting good at giving people titles in my head.

"Peter," Mom says and I look up at her.

"I can't tell you to except me into your life, frankly I can't even ask but I do need to ask you this, even if you don't want me in your life, which I'd understand, please under no circumstances tell anyone about our relation. Not even your best friend, not even Fury, don't even tell Mary and Richard that you know, word could come out by accident and then my enemies would hurt you. I don't want that to happen. One of my biggest goals is to insure you're safe," Mom explains.

My mind feels like it's on auto pilot swifting through my thoughts. The "I've been here" feeling wrapping around me like never before. Because for once I have actually been here before just with Dad and now Mom.

And now I'll have to keep me knowing Dad from Mom and me knowing Mom from Dad because I made two identical promises.

"The secret is safe with me."

"Thanks Pete," Mom says and I smile.

"I want to get to know you, if that is ok with you?"

"Sure kiddo, I'd love that," Mom says and smiles at me.

"Me too. I uhm, I d-don't want to burst your bubble but you mentioned Mary and Richard Parker earlier..."

At this Mom raises her eyebrow at me, confused.

"They uh-they passed in a plane crash when I was little, four if I remember correctly."

I see Mom's eyes grow wide and mornful, they were obviously her friends, then she says, "I'm so sorry, that must of been difficult to deal with, is May and Ben taking care of you now?"

I'm getting more nervous and don't really know what to do.

"Uhh, Ben died when he was shot quite some time ago, 2 years I think, and loosing him too made May go crazy, she uhh- started being rude and horrible a-and she, uhh, she kind of got abusive. She's in jail now."

A tear roles down Mom's face but she looks at me, guilt and pain clear on her eyes. She obviously doesn't know how to respond. Seeing her so sad over things I've long dealt with, I couldn't let her just sit in shock so I give her a hug.

She flinches in suprise but then returns the hug. It's nice, so I stay in her arms. I have a full family now. Not that most of the members really know about each other but that's besides the point. So instead of worrying, for this moment I just relax in the safety of Mom's arms.

"Kiddo?" Mom questions but I can tell this is serious.

"Yes?"

"Who is taking care of you? Are you ok? How do you know Fury? And also why were you in contact with the Tesseract," Mom questions, worry written all over her face.

"Uhh, I kind of have a lot of guardians, but on paper it's mainly Director Fury. We met by complete accident. See the Avengers got turned into kids and were send to my school in secret by Mr. Fury, then they befriended me and Ms. Nat, being a spy, could tell something was wrong. She had the police investigate May and got Mr. Fury to be my guardian when it was discovered that I was being abused. I've been living with them since. And they are extremely caring. As for the Tesseract, I have no idea what that is so I couldn't awnser how I came in contact with it."

Ok, ok I was lying again but it could expose me knowing about Dad, which cannot happen.

"Oh, I see," Mom says lost in thought.

Author's pov
Carol and Peter spend the rest of the night talking about random things, Pete leaving out Loki and Thor, he did tell her about Spidey though and Carol cooed at the entire thought.

Peter had also asked FRIDAY to mute the room even from her when the woman came crashing in, his Spidysense told him too. So nothing was recorded.

They only stopped talking when an alarm went off and Peter discovered it was almost time for school....
