Carol's pov
Loki had been treating me like I'm Pete. Acting like a worried parent, since discovering I am sick, and honestly it's sweet.

Till thus far he has brought me soup and gotten fluffy blankets as well as pillows for me, he keeps on sticking thermometers into my mouth and I have to bite back the laughs every time he puts a piece of ice on my forehead.

The host says a few speeches and then he tells us to head back to our projects as a judge would come to speak with us in a few moments.

Princess Shuri and I engage in small talk as we wait patiently for us to be moved to the correct areas.

I am paired with different judges than she is so I bid her farewell and good luck as I head back to my station.

When my first judge arrives, I stand up and greet her politely, explaining my project with ease. She seems rather impressed and moves on to the next project.

After three hours of waiting my second judge arrives, seeming more than annoyed to have to be here. He huffs as I explain my project and move to the rest. Mean.

Lastly, about twenty minutes later, my final judge arrives, so I stand to greet him.

As I do, however, my Spideysenses says, "Look behind you," so, I obey and realize my judge is none other than Mr. Vision.

"Oh, so cool, you're Mr. Vision, it's nice to meet you, sir!"

Mr. Vision chuckles and nods but stops as he reads my name tag, "Peter Parker?" He asks and I nod.

"Ahhh, so you're the young spider Tony has told me about. It is lovely to make your acquaintance," Mr. Vision says and I smile.

Mr. Vision's eyes land on my project and he smiles.

"Star Wars?" He asks and I nod.

"I have always loved their lightsabers, so I figured why not make one?"

"You made it on your own?" He asks and I nod.

"It was rather difficult to figure out how to calibrate it so that light moves faster than the speed of light and I did ask my one friend, Ms. Hope, for advice on how to manage to have it not die out quickly but other than that, I did everything."

Mr. Vision seems impressed and he picks up the saber, activating it.

He then proceeds to lightly touch the table with the light part and my saber cuts through the table, causing both of us to laugh.

"Well done, Mr. Parker, I believe this is a great project," Mr. Vision says as he walks to the next one he is to judge.

"Thanks, Mr. Vision..."

I know not when, how, or why but when I woke up from the nap I didn't realize I was taking I was clinging to Loki, like a child near their parents.

I feel my face burn causing Loki to laugh.

"I guess now we know where Petyr gets his blushing habit," Loki teases and I roll my eyes.

"Yeah-yeah."

After I'm done being judged, the host announces that the judges are going to discussion and the contestants now get their chance to explore and ask others about their projects.

Getting excited I explore and get especially excited around the bio-chemistry projects, as they couldn't be further away from the concept of mine which is electro-physics.

One girl made plants that grew back any part that is chopped off within 15 minutes, thus reducing the reduction of forests.

I hope she gets the botany cup, if someone would sponsor her this project could even be used to create a way for people who loses a limb to regain it, almost... like a lizard and its tail...

When I return to my station, I see several curious eyes on my project.

"Uhm, may I help you?"

"Are you Peter Parker?" The one boy asks and I nod.

"You made an actual lightsaber? That's so cool! Does it have a safety function on it, like if one would like a saber but have kids hanging around tampering with stuff?" The boy asks and I shake my head.

"I realized that a safety function would be in handy, but then it occurred to me that I could just make it voice and fingerprint access required."

"So any saber can come with voice access, a fingerprint, or even facial recognition for it to activate."

"Ahh! That's so cool, man," the boy says and I smile, "You know there is a very big party we contestants are having after the prize-giving, you're welcome to come," the boy invites so I nod.

"Sure, I haven't made any plans for today so why not?"

"Cool, dude, see you then," the boy says as he and the group that watched our interaction leave.

Cool.

"Peter, I have found you at last," Princess Shuri exclaims, "Come."

I nod and follow her to a lunchroom.

"You nearly missed lunch," she exclaims with her arms flying into the air to emphasize her point.

"Oh, I'm sorry I got a bit sidetracked, your majesty."

"Can you please just call me Shuri," she asks and I smirk.

"Okay, Princess Shuri..."

"No. Just Shuri," she tries so I bite back a laugh.

"Ok, Princess just Shuri."

"Nooooooo," she whines and I smile, it's nice to have friends, I don't know what I was thinking not socializing with people before meeting the Avengers...then again everyone at school is mean and not to be rude at all but they aren't really all that smart...

"Please, Peter Parker, please just call me Shuri," she begs and I laugh.

"Nope."

"Meanie," she jokes and I shake my head, taking both my own and her plate to the sink to wash.

"Hey, just cause I'm a princess doesn't mean you have to wait on me," she exclaims and I laugh.

"I know. It's just at home I have been placed on dish duty for so long, that this happened out of habit..."

At this Shuri bursts out laughing.

"Who's the mean one now?"

"Whatever," she responds, and we both laugh.
