Madison's P.o.V
I was extremely intimidated by most of the girls in my pledge class, as well as the older girls in the house. It wasn't my first-choice sorority, and had a reputation for crazy partying, drugs, eating disorders-everything I wasn't looking for, but I decided to go through with pledging anyway. And yes, I was hazed. However, I will say definitively that the hazing actually made me feel a lot more comfortable with my pledge class and broke down barriers.
When you're huddled outside of an upperclassman's house together in line waiting for a pledge event-sometimes at 3 a.m. in the dead of winter-you're forced to bond. Our worst night involved crazy tasks, quizzing, and food being thrown at us. While we went through a lot, it ended with a big group sleepover with skits and dancing and was ultimately so much fun. Hazing is not for everyone, but I was able to laugh at myself and take it for what it was. I really did make amazing friends during those tough times.
My sorority pledging lasted about two and a half months, and we had events several nights a week. It varied-sometimes it was a quick bonding activity after class, other times it was something that lasted until the wee hours. I learned a lot from the experience: how to keep my cool under stress, how to navigate relationships with people from different backgrounds, how to deal with making a fool of myself, and how to function on very little. None of those are reasons to pledge; they're things you'll end up learning elsewhere in college anyway. But the experience intrigued me, I liked and trusted the upperclassmen in the sorority, and while the process was stressful and time-consuming, it ended up being fun and unforgettable. Most importantly, the bonds I made are pretty unmatched.
I also got the chance to come into the boys in the Delta, thats a house full if trouble waiting to happen. Everywhere you looked, there was a piece of man candy waltzing around, the main ones that caught my attention were the presidents, they looked good together, but even better when they're alone.
Sonny was the main one to catch my attention, it was a couple weeks ago when he and Isabelle were arguing and his attitude towards her was quite sexy, he was a verydominant guy. Isabelle doesn't like him because he won't fuck her, I think that's her problem, him being aggressive towards her was the only way she got her feel for him. I laughed a little louder than I thought and Isabelle looked over at me.
"What's funny?" She asked
"Just over here in my own little world is all." I said trying to stop laughing
"Keep it in your world then." She said turning away
"You want to fuck Sonny don't you?" I asked bluntly
Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at the two of us, Isabelle shook her head and avoided eye contact.
"No." She said
"Nah, I feel like you're lying. The two of you have sexual tension strong enough to slice through air." I said smirking
"She has a point." Sapphire butted in
"Shut up Saph, you're already fuckin him." Isabelle spat
"Shit, you right." Sapphire said putting her hands up in defense and putting her ear buds back in
"I feel like you and him should fuck." Sierra said crossing her legs
"I feel like y'all should leave me alone about it." She said grabbing her phone
"Going to call baby daddy?" I teased
She rolled her eyes and walked to her room, the girls and I laughed and someone knocked on the door, I got up and went to answer the door, I opened it and seen some girl i hadnt seen here before.
"Who are you?" I asked
"Is my cousin here or what?" She asked folding her arms
"Who's your cousin?" I asked
Renee came over to the door and smiled as they hugged.
"Im guessing this is your cousin." I said
"Sure it, my cousin Natalia but we call her Nat, these are my housemates." She said as they both came inside.
She looked like she was going to be a tough one to deal with, especially with all the black and pretty face, I just knew she had a slick mouth and bad attitude.
Yeah, we'd most definitely get along.
