Sonny's P.o.V

I was laying in bed at my penthouse thinking, when a call came through on my cell, I sighed and sat up as I answered the call.

"Valentine speaking." I answered

"I know who you are, where you at? Came by the house and the boys said you were gone." Nat said on the other line

"I'm not on campus right now." I said sitting up and scratching my head

"Why not?" She asked

"Just needed a little time to myself is all." I said twisting my earring in my ear

"What's the matter?" She asked

"Just a lot on my mind." I said

"Want me to come talk to you?" She asked

"No its fine." I said smiling

"Sonny, what'd I tell you before?" She said, annoyance in her voice

I sighed and ran my hand over my head

"Fine, I'll send you the address, just come by yourself, please." I said looking at my watch

"Mh, fine just this once." She said chuckling

"Bye loser." I said hanging up

I texted her my address and sighed as I got up, might as well shower, still smelled like blood and gun smoke.

I grabbed a pair of Nike briefs and went to shower, once I got out, I pulled them on and went in the closet and grabbed a pair of Nike sweats. I laid back down and waited until Nat made it, after about an hour, she texted me.

"Which floor?"

"Penthouse."

She didn't reply and after a few minutes I heard the elevator downstairs, I got off of the bed and made my way downstairs, she grinned and looked around.

"Living all fancy and shit." She smirked

"Kinda." I said with a shrug

"Ew, why are you so dry?" She asked tossing her keys on the table

"Just not feeling it." I said falling on the couch

"Well that's shitty." She said falling on the other end of the couch, "Ouch, what the fuck." She yelped

"What?" I asked looking at her

She pulled my gun from behind the pillow and looked at me, I gave a nervous chuckle and tried to grab it from her, she pulled it out of my grasp and narrowed her eyes at me

"Why do you have this?" She asked

"Just in case someone breaks in." I said reaching for it

"You know a .38 would've done the job, not a full M16." She said giving it to me, "You got some secrets to share."

"Maybe I'm not ready to share them." I said getting up to put the gun away

"You're never going to be ready to share them because you won't let yourself do so." She said folding her arms

She was right, I could just share any secret I felt like sharing anytime I felt, I just prevented myself from doing so, it was something I've grown used to doing.

"You might be right and you might not." I said with a shrug

"Sonny, sweetheart, I know I'm right." She said nonchalantly
