The reason Mayumi wants people to confide in her is because she realized the burden some people carry can be too much after seeing it with her very eyes. She wants to help them as much as she can, knowing how they feel
Mayumi is somewhat inspired by Makima. I took some of Makima's physical traits, and pretty much her abilities to create Mayumi's character
