gojo said he would wait, and that's exactly what he did. although when he had told mayumi that, the male wasn't expecting to wait three months.

those three months were excruciating, everything finally out in the open but nothing being done about it.

even everyone else could tell that gojo wanted to have something done. people would find him staring at mayumi with no shame, flirting with the female, being more touchy than usual.

so when they both went on their first date, the male was elated. then everybody else was glad to hear it because watching them was becoming unbearable.

mayumi also found out about the bet that was placed, which gojo found amusing.

everything seemed to go as well as it could be in a world like this, except for one person.

AUGUST

geto found himself slowly losing his way from his original beliefs, the ones mayumi thought too. in all honesty, he doesn't even know if non-sorcerers were worth fighting for anymore.

jujutsu was made to protect those who didn't have it, yet the ugliness he had seen after the death of riko amanai from those non-sorcerers made him debate whether or not this would all be worth it.

no matter how much he tried having things go back to normal, back to when he and his three classmates would be messing around and having the time of their lives, he couldn't.

being a jujutsu sorcerer, he saw it as a marathon where the corpses of your fellow sorcerers waited at the end. in this case, it was yu haibara.

prior to geto and mayumi stepping into the morgue, he and yaga had to fetch her first. luckily for the principal, gojo was with the red-haired female in her bedroom.

there they were, cuddling as somebody had knocked on the door. "expecting someone?" gojo questioned the girl, to which she shook her head to.

both of them had gotten up, opening it to see the ravenette pair. mayumi could easily see the grief in geto's face, the way he was sadly meeting her eyes.

"what happened?"

geto commented, "it's best you put on your shoes, mayumi. as for satoru, yaga has something to give him."

a bad feeling formed in her stomach, hesitating before placing her shoes on her feet. gojo gave her a peck on the lips before geto took her hand, leading her towards one of the further ends of the school.

she knew exactly where he was taking her, the morgue.

the girl said nothing as they walked along the dark and eerie hall, one of the lights flickering. entering inside, it was cool as the feeling of death lingered in the air.

mayumi could see a body on the metal table, covered by a large white cloth. looking to her right was nanami, resting against the cold wall as a rag rested over his eyes.
