yamagata wasn't too sure about what he was currently doing. after leaving miwa and exorcising a cursed spirit, he tried looking for itadori but couldn't find where he was. the pinkette obviously moved from the spot he and the others left him at. yamagata could only hope he was okay.
nobody else was picking up their phones so he could safely assume they were busy.
"i didn't think it'll be like this," yamagata roamed around with the hope of finding someone. luckily, he had heard someone groan from beside a large fallen tree.
the brunette went over to see kugisaki kneeling on the ground with a hand on her head, "dammit, that hurt."
"kugisaki!?" he exclaimed and immediately kneeled at her side, "are you okay? what happened? did you fight? where's panda?"
"okay, hold your horses. too many questions at once," the country girl held a hand up to stop him.
yamagata shyly scratched the back of his neck, "sorry. but actually, are you injured?"
"i'm fine. but a bullet hit me... mai," the ginger growled at the thought of the girl.
"well then, let's go. i don't want maki-san to yell at us for slacking," yamagata held his hand out for kugisaki and she gladly took it after picking up her squeaky hammer from the floor.
kugisaki decided to question, "have you been slacking off? also, why the hell weren't you picking up your phone earlier!? we had to talk about itadori."
"no slacking off from me!" yamagata waved his hands around, "i was talking with fushiguro and maki-senpai earlier then fought miwa-senpai, i'm sorry. i would've picked up if you called me and i noticed, though!"
"you better have," she huffed.
the duo didn't make it far when they suddenly felt a strong curse presence. the sky started to turn into a shade of darker yellow. they both recognized it as a veil.
