As soon as you opened the door the strong scent of coffee hit you. Overpowering any other smell around you, it's was probably the strongest scent in the building.

While it wasn't the best smell, it certainly wasn't the worst.

You walk only a few steps before nearing the counter of the coffee shop and meeting the eyes of someone who brought a mix of emotions in you.

Annoyance was for sure one of them.

"Hey doll, here for the regular? Or are you going to spice things up this time"

You give out a glare as he smiles "innocently" behind the counter.

"You know me by now"

Marius let's out a chuckle at your response before pressing a couple buttons and telling you your total.

You say thank you before moving to a two table seat in one of the corners of the shop, seeing as there weren't any single seat tables.

A few minutes pass before you hear your name being shouted and you go and grab your regular, not failing to notice that Marius had added to your order. You also didn't fail to notice the small coffee stained note attached to the certain addition.

"A snack for the prettiest boy in the shop" you read, letting out a small smile and praying to whatever god that Marius wasn't looking at you right now.

He would never let it down if he saw you smile at this note.

You let out an exasperated sigh before going back to your table, smile still set on your lips.

As you sip on your drink and look out the shop window you hear the scrape of a chair moving against the floor and when you look where the sound is coming from, low and behold, their stands the boy who wouldn't stop asking for a chance.

You raise a brow, "aren't you on the job? You're wasting precious time"

"I get to talk to you, it's never a waste of time. And I'll have you know that I am on break" Marius says while sitting down in front of you, not hesitating to grab a bit from your snack and eating it.

"I thought that was for the prettiest boy in the coffee shop"

A laugh erupts from Marius chest before he calms down and looks at you, eyes filled with only fondness, "it is, I just wanted a bit of a taste, I gave you that snack anyways I can have a tiny bit of it cant I?"

As he finishes his sentence he smiles mischievously and goes to grab more from you.

"Dont you even dare, that's mine"

"Possessive are we?"

"Shut up"

He opened his mouth but unexpectedly closes it and just smiles while looking away, you have a slight hint of what he wanted to say by the blush that creeped up on his cheeks.

You shake your head before keeping on sipping on your drink and batting Marius hand away from your snack.

He places his hand on his cheek before looking back at you and starting to talk, "you know, you've been coming to the shop a lot more recently. I'm starting to think it isn't the coffee you like as much anymore and it's me instead"

You groan out and place a hand on your forehead, "you need to get your eyes checked. I'm only hear for my regular and thats it"

He gives you a pout, "really? Are you a hundred percent? Because I saw that smile of yours when you read my note"

You almost spit out your drink at his comment, so he did actually see your reaction.

"Come on darling, stop acting like that, you know you like me even if it's just a little"

"Just shut up, that's not true at all, you're just trying to make me blush"

"And it's working" He says with a smile while motioning towards the glass window.

As you look at your reflection you see how your face is getting slightly red, not too noticeable but with the way Marius seems to study you, he knew. Your nervous fidgeting didn't help your case either.

You have enough of his teasing before you send out a glare his way and open your mouth, "I'd say the same for you, you're redder than me cutie"

At your response Marius turns even more red before spitting out words and looking back and forth between you and the counter he was at a few minutes ago.

"Uhm I uh- I need to get going, yeah my break is uhm, my break is almost over" He keeps on saying stuff about how he needs to go back but before he leaves he pulls out a note from his back pocket and throws it on your table.

As soon as you grab it and your hand is placed right beside his, he dashes off to go behind the counter again and frantically puts on an apron.

You finish your snack and drink and in the process you open the note. Coincidently it was another coffee stained note.

"Text me,,, pls :( - ur next bf lol" and accompanied to the writing it also contained what you guessed was Marius's phone number.

The note made you smile once again and as you clean up your table you look back at the counter and see Marius hard at work.

As he finishes another customers order he looks over at you and there's still a hint of a blush on his cheeks.

You send him a smile and hold out the note, slightly shaking it in your hand before putting it somewhere safe and the action makes Marius smile widely.

He waves you goodbye as you leave the shop, happily waiting for that text from you.
