Everything was going according to plan, everything was well. All the plans and arrangements had been set.
You were incredibly happy, you werent planning the biggest event but at least Vyn hadn't find out about it. It was your worst fear at the moment, since you were really hoping to keep it a secret and let him have fun when he found out.
Today was the day, it was finally Vyn's birthday. All the days before had been going well and you had one last big thing to do before the birthday event started.
Bring your present for Vyn, and get the cake. Something that should have been incredibly simple, if it werent for the fact that you had so much on your plate.
You had been the one and only organizer for this event, and while you had the help of others, it wasnt enough.
So as you were setting up the last decorations, you finally remembered the two things you needed the most. That's when you started to panic.
Many of the big things for the event had to be done by you, it was almost unimaginable the fact that you forgot your own present for him.
It was your present after all and the damn cake for the party.
You didn't even want to imagine how dissapointed the others and even Vyn would be, even though logically speaking Vyn wouldn't be dissapointed at all.
The anxiety got to you non the less and your breathing almost cut short completely.
Everything was going so well, why now?

A hand on your shoulders temporarily cuts your rapid thinking to a halt. But it only worsens your fear of Vyn getting here.
You look up as your chest starts to rise and fall your breathing becoming erratic once you see the familiar face.
"Is this all for me honey?"
Vyn has the biggest smile on his face before it sinks to a frown once he sees the tears streaming down your face.
He gently cups your face, thumbs whiping your tears away.
"Whats wrong?"
"I wanted this to be a surprise, and I didn't even finish it. I haven't gotten your cake, and I forgot your present at home. I'm so sorry, I thought I could do better. You deserve only the best and I couldn't give it to you. This was meant to be your day but now I'm standing here crying and probably ruining the experience" you ramble on and on about how much better this could have been and not noticing the small smile set on Vyn's face.
"Dear, this is more then enough okay? Just having you think of me is enough. I dont care about the presents, I don't care about the cake. I care about how you thought of me and decided to make such a grand event just for me. Nothing could be better then this. Having you by my side is the greatest gift I could ask for, and I wouldn't ask for anything else. You havent ruined anything for me, just being able to hold you today is more then enough for me. This is the best birthday I've ever had and the event has even started"
You sniffle quietly and try to wipe the stray tears away. Vyn notices your posture and mannerisms, knowing exactly what would happen next.
He leans in before placing a gentle kiss on your lips; "There, that's my present. You can give me whatever present you bought me later. Let's enjoy the moment and wait for the others to come by, that way we can celebrate my birthday all together"
You give him another nod and you both kiss once again. The two of you enjoyed the moment, peaceful and quite, a few birds chirping here and there as you enjoyed each other's company.
Both Vyn and you sit below a tree and wait patiently for the others to come by, only a few minutes pass before you here someone whistle.
Marius runs up to the both of you with a grin, the others trailing behind him.
